Hi guys, I got implanted with an AMS LGX implant. How hard is it for you guys to pump up?
I can feel the first pump with the fluid moving through and I can hear a popping sound, but each pump after that first pump gets really hard immediately after the first one. I can pump it up a little bit after the first pump, but not much.
I still haven’t been able to get it to stretch as much as it can because I can’t pump it more. I still haven’t been able to pump it up to the point where my implant is stiff and hard. I can feel some stretch, but I know I have whole lot more to go.
Have you guys experienced this?
Does it get easier?
Does the pump get softer?
btw, I’m sure you guys know, but when your trying to pump up your implant and your fingers slip, that shit hurts like a motherf*cker lol

I get the pump between my index finger and the base of my thumb. Pressing between the center of the bulb and the valve block works best. Not as apt to slip off. I also hold the tubes with the other hand right next to the valve block. It does get softer with use. I did all my break in while in a hot tub at 106 degrees.

How long ago was your surgery? oldbeek was spot on with his post. I hold the pump by the base where the tubes enter with my left hand and get the pump between my index finger and the base of my thumb just like oldbeek. This gives me max leverage on the pump bulb and keeps it from shooting out of my grip and across my scrotum into a testicle which is painful to say the least. I've had my implant a little over 2 years and still use this technique. The pump is stiff when new but will get softer and easier to pump with time and use. If you are up to it, after the first pump (when you get the pop of the valve switching) then lay your pump/scrotum on the bathroom sink counter or straddle the tub and lay it on the edge (on a towel of course), get everything stable and use the hard surface as backing and press on the pump. I've done this early on and it helped.

I’ve been having the same issue with my CX. Anytime I try to ask for pointers, people misunderstand the issue for me being unable to find a way to push the bulb in. That isn’t the case if we’re experiencing the same issue. Which is that on the first pump of the bulb, it’s a complete depression and an entire full pump, but immediately after that first good one, it stiffens up and won’t fully collapse again.
The only partial solution I have found is continually deflating slightly, waiting a moment, then I can get a good half squeeze where it immediate stiffens up again and sometimes allows me to get numerous 10-20% pumps for about 3 or 4 pumps.

I would go see my implant doctor about that issue and see what they have to say. This is a mechanical device and subject to malfunction as bad as I hate to say it. I've worked with this lady early on with some pump issues I had. I've not contacted her since 2019 but if she's still at this position she's really helpful.

There was a recall a year or so ago on some of the AMS pumps and with 2 cases so alike and not responding to the fix protocol it is important to not only get your doctor involved but also AMS to get a record of the problem. FT members are a small portion of men who are implanted so AMS may have a large number of other men who have had the same trouble that we do not know about. And they could have a fix for it already. Jamie was really helpful for me but she is really busy and it takes a while for her to get back with you.
