True! And it's not just about protecting yourself; by getting vaccinated you also dramatically lower the risk that you will infect others. That is, by getting vaccinated you are doing your part in ending the pandemic, so that life finally can go back to normal.

I had a sore shoulder for a day after the first Pfizer vaccine, and the same reaction after the second, so very mild reactions indeed. But even if I had had to spend a couple of days in bed, I would have felt good about having done the right thing.

I got Pfizer x2, no issues aside from a slightly sore arm on the first and a sore arm with a little pea-sized knot on the second (the knot abated in 24-48 hours). My wife got the J&J x1 a week after my first Pfizer dose and also had no ill effect at all. She's 64 and I was almost 60 at the time of our doses and she's got many very serious co-morbidities such as COPD (asthma, sleep apnea and oxygen dependency due to lung capacity), obesity and Type-II diabetes. My co-morbidities were only hypertension and cholesterol.

I brought this up a while back. Good topic.

My immediate family all got Pfizer x2.

Shot 1 had 12 hrs of sore arm. Shot 2 I had 6 hrs of sore achy arm.

Wife might have felt crummy for about 3 hrs after shot 2.

90 yr old mom isn’t convinced the vaccine “took” since she had no reaction to either shot.

Some of my relatives who took moderna reportedly flu like symptoms and a day or so of low grade fever.

Two weeks after shot 2 we ditched the masks. Time to go back to normal living. This has gone on long enough. It was like March 5th Texas dropped the mask mandate and we were accused of being Neanderthals. Since then cases have continued to drop to about 1/3 of where they were in early March. Deaths and hospitalized have followed same pattern.

I like vaccines. Anthrax wasn’t great but Uncle Sam said “take itm” and I did. By comparison this one was a butterscotch pie.

The vaccines in use do have FDA approval. Approval for emergency use is still approval. I’d rather be a guinea pig for the vaccine than a pig to the slaughter for COVID.

I try to be nice in all situations. I like the community of men here and want to get along with everyone. But I have no patience for anti-vaxx bullshit. Millions of people have been killed world wide and over a half million in the USA. The miracle of medical science has found a solution that only works if we work together and get vaccinated. If we fuck around long enough a variant that is NOT responsive to the vaccine may break through and then we will all be screwed. The clock is ticking.

I tested positive for Covid-19 in October plus the shot. I think I'm good.

I've had both Moderna vaccines. Sore arm after first shot was all. 24 hours after second shot I had chills and no energy, but that went away the next day.
All I can say to the anti-vaxxers is you've been eating hot dogs and chicken nuggets for years and I bet you don't know what's in them either. And the ones who think there's a micro chip in the injection need some basic anatomy education.

It's a penis health forum and now they're discovering that covid affects penis health.

A "personal choice" is something that is no one else's business because it doesn't affect anyone else, just you.

Vaccines aren't a personal choice because your choice to not get vaccinated affects OTHER PEOPLE and makes the pandemic last longer.
44, ED problems began around age 28 when I was on finasteride for hair loss, and also got circumcised so I lost a lot of sensation. Pills gave me bad headaches and other side effects. Now using trimix 30/1/20. So far so good.

Insofar as Covid-19 can affect erectile dysfunction, it may belong on this forum.

Early in this thread one post linked an article on just that effect. The article said, in part, "We found that the virus affects the blood vessels that supply the penis, causing erectile dysfunction," said senior researcher Dr. Ranjith Ramasamy, director of the reproductive urology program at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine.

If the vaccine might have similar effects it would (in my opinion) be a valid subject for discussion here. (I consider this unlikely, but still, if real evidence does turn up...)

I recognize that the politics and beliefs around Covid-19 and vaccines are "hot-button" issues and rancor and vehemence endemic (perhaps pandemic?) to the subjects, so careful monitoring of posts might be prudent, but a blanket boycott of the subject seems to me to be an overreaction.

The disease and the vaccine MAY be relevant to "why we are all on here".

Respectfully submitted.

P.S.
I wonder that this post appeared in the "Implants" section. It would seem to me to be more appropriate to the "General Discussion" section, as the disease or the vaccine would likely be irrelevant to a man with an implant, but vitally important to men with pre-implant issues.

The first couple of posts were appropriate. After that it wandered and IMHO should be locked. I'm still inclined to agree with gjmjoe017.

I got vaccinated as early as possible. My age and some other issues put me at a higher risk. So to me it easily made sense even though it was a rushed vaccine and poses it's own risks both known and unknown. AFAIC it was a no-brainer for me. Not everyone is in the same situation and they have to make their own decisions based on both the know facts and also what is unknown.

Some are trying to make this political. It isn't other than what some anti-conservatives want to make it. Notice I didn't say liberals. Oddly, it's people that would generally be considered liberal that are "anti-vaxxers".

The area I live in and the vast majority of those I associate with would be considered pretty far to the right of the spectrum to most who hail from Cal or NY, Etc. However, the vast majority of those I know got vaccinated as soon as possible. I only know of one guy who is as yet undecided. He isn't in a high risk group. Well I do know a very few others (maybe 3) very religious Christian Believers that haven't but the vast majority of very religious Christian Believers I know were also quick to get vaccinated. I can really only think of 3 that purposely didn't get vaccinated and that my logic suggests should have. One of those recently got the virus but seems to be quickly recovering.

I in no way think it's my business to force others to get vaccinated although I feel it was a very wise move for me and my wife. My son, a low risk group member, got the vaccine. His wife did not but she was well into pregnancy by the time she qualified for it. If all those that are higher risk (like me) get vaccinated along with a good chunk of others, enough of the rest will get and survive the disease thereby developing immunity. Those that don't survive will reap the benefit of their own freely made decisions. Those that are in very low risk groups will get it or not and develop immunity if they do. With vaccines this new and unproven and considering their low risk, I probably wouldn't have younger children vaccinated at this time.

This disease is here to stay. It will mutate and I'm sure I'll probably have to get appropriate vaccines in the future. The cat got out of the bag and is already making kittens in the wild.

I have lowered my risk by getting vaccinated. I'm done with masks and social distancing. I won't, and haven't for some time, participate in the silly theatrics. In this case I'm fortunate to live in FL where I mostly have the freedom to choose. My son, also vaccinated, is still wearing masks. I told him he was a good democrat. He said he was still wearing one on the off chance he could still catch it or a new variant and because his very pregnant wife isn't vaccinated. I guess that makes sense.

And by the way, to help get this back on topic, I'll have you know my dick is doing just fine, well relatively speaking.

PS: There are probably typos. I rambled on too long and I don't feel like proofing it.
