LBC2020,
You are going with too much drama.
Just do it.
If she in Divorce court says that implant is reason for divorce, she will be shamed from her and your lawyer.
If she is not supporting you, then you have to make last call.
Good luck .

Dr Eid should not care about how good is your erection with injections.
I also agree with the fact that before going for an implant, you should try injections… but if you do not really see yourself injecting stuff in your dick, then implant is the right path.

Re: Implant or wife
Getting your wife's support is very important, but ultimately not a pre-requisite.
The implant goes into YOUR body. And, while the penis with implant will occasionally go into HER body, it is your need that is being addressed.
You penis being able to go into her body is a benefit to her (hopefully she sees it as a benefit).
Your penis restored to full function is a benefit to your psyche. And THAT is the essential benefit of the implant. Restoration of a lost natural function
If your wife does not understand that, shame on her. (But do not shame her for it - rather, encourage her to understand what it means to you.)

I did it for myself. My wife is post menopause and gave me some of the same crap. When she does get horny, she certainly accepts it.

Re: Implant or wife
Ultimately, I did this for myself.
Yes, my marriage was in a bad place in February of 2020 when I first learned about implants from my doctor. My meeting with him was out of desperation, and I hadn't talked to a medical professional about my ED in years prior to last year.
When I learned about getting an implant I did have it in my head that it would help my relationship with my wife. And I've been right about that hunch up to this point.
But I had to do this for me, first. Like you, my wife was skeptical of me getting an implant. And who could blame her? After the years of pain she 'd experienced while putting up with my ED, it made sense that she wasn't willing to get her hopes up. So, I had to be doing this for me since there was no guarantee that it would help my marriage.
I'm just starting to get an inkling of how much better I may feel and think now that I have a treatment for my ED that makes sex almost as natural and good as normal. So, I hope I'm just beginning a new, long, good journey .

Re: Implant or wife
my wife did not want me to get the implant at first, but I was firm and emphatic stating that I have to do this, just have to do it so that I would feel complete again.
I write about partner satisfaction in the mini-book that wrote and posted here on franktalk.

Here is an excerpt from
chapter 8:
......It is key to understand some concerns that your partner will have when she hears that you have decided to go bionic, I suspect that most long term partners of men with ED are TERRIFIED at the prospect of the implant. I think that this terror stems from five concerns
Firstly:....."
I spent lots of time writing that mini-book, so do please see chapter 8 in the above link.
By the way, If choice between implant or wife; I would vote "implant" and try to get the wife to stay on board even if you do get it against her wishes.
You only live once.
It is your body; use it with gusto so that when you are at the end of life sliding into home plate you can yell out "wow, what a ride !"

Re: Implant or wife
Over the years, I have noticed several members posting that after implant surgery their wives wanted nothing to do with the implanted husband. I shared a story some time ago about a coworker, several years older than me, who was rejected by his wife after his surgery. I will always remember his story where she bluntly told him “ you are NOT putting that THING into me! He sounded totally broken. I often wondered if he was ever able to resolve the issue with his wife.
If presented with this ultimatum, implant or me, I would try to convince my wife that I’m doing this for “us”. I hope that our friend here on Franktalk gets a happy resolution.
I am not implanted and at my age and the wife’s health issues I have no plans for an implant. If younger, the wife being healthy and higher drive WE would consider the implant.
