Numb Glans before implant

Postby Trav8701 » Tue May 25, 2021 4:52 pm

Im sorry for having 3 threads up i dont wanna suck up all the air...but i dont know how to delete old threads....but i just have one more question for now

If you had a numb glans...or were suffering through some degree of greatly decreased erotic sensation in your ED, has being implanted made that easier for you at all? I know the implant does not cure sensation decrease....but decreased sensation can make it harder to enjoy sex and also harder to maintain an erection (ED). This can profoundly affect one's self confidence/mental health.

If you had lack of sensation severe enough that it made sex nigh impossible, do you feel being implanted made sex more enjoyable/was worth it for you even though it didnt actually treat the issue of decreased sensation?

I imagine that just having the ability to maintain an erection adequate enough for penetration regardless of having markedly decreased sensation must do greatly for your self esteem and attitude towards sex knowing that you can always please your partner at least.

If you're someone who had numb glans before getting implanted...how has your decision to implant affected your self esteem/mental health/attitude towards sex?

Thats extremely reassuring man, thank you for taking the time to answer
FMLFML85 wrote:There’s nerves in your skin that will be stimulated from inflating the implant just as they are stimulated by a natural erection. The ligaments that support your erection will also have sensation from inflating the implant. You may still have some natural engorgment after surgery that can add more sensitivity as well. IDK about getting your sensation back in the head of your penis though.

Your penultimate paragraph "...having the ability ...knowing you can always please your partner..." is important. I am glad you recognize that your partner is a major part of your own satisfaction. I did not recognize that in my youth and it was not until the beginnings of ED that one partner pointed out that she was not satisfied when I was done and that started me to paying more attention to her than to me.

The brain is the greatest sexual organ we have.

If I had absolutely no feeling in my genitals at all, I would still enjoy fucking/making love to my lover. Her enjoyment means that much to me. When I was finding it impossible to satisfy my lover coitally, I considered the Faustian bargain of "I will trade all my future potential orgasms for the ability to reliably give my lovers orgasms." I do not know if I would have regretted such a trade, but considered it seriously. As a solution, I learned cunnilingus. It worked admirably in the absence of erections.

But I digress. Hearing, feeling and seeing my lover in the throes of orgasm would substitute for my own orgasms. Indeed have done so, as after implant, my previously very reliable ejaculations have been replaced by occasional anorgasmia. Maybe one or two out of ten sexual encounters. When I don't orgasm, my lover is more disappointed than I am.

That last observation leads me to this report of what I have observed of women over the years. I have been told repeatedly by a number of lovers that they enjoy sex with me even when they have not orgasmed. I never understood (or completely believed) this, but having experienced a lack of orgasm myself, I now know it to be true. Participating in a lover's orgasm does not require one to join in the orgasm.

Similarly, women have told me that performing fellatio (giving head) is enjoyable, despite her genitals not being touched at all. I found that performing cunnilingus is similarly arousing for me, again with no touch to my genitals. The acto of GIVING is sexually satisfying.

Then there is this: The mere act of thrusting into a hot, wet vagina and having my lover react and enjoy is enough for me to be as satisfied as if I had orgasmed myself. I doubt that satisfaction would be much different if my penis could feel that wetness and heat or not. The masculine, dominating feeling of thrusting involves the whole body, and, of course, the mind.

Yep. If my entire genital region were completely numb, I would still enjoy sex. Probably not as much as I do with feeling, but I would not stop. In the movie "Coming Home" John Voight's character told the woman he was with (Voight's character was a paraplegic with no feeling below the waist) that he had sexual feelings at the point in his body just above the spinal injury's termination of feeling which was quite satisfactory for him. I have heard the same from other (non-Hollywood) sources, as well, but not so explicitly as in the film.

Aye man thanks for giving me some much needed peace of mind there, the more I read about it the more at peace o feel with the possibility of one day needing an implant to function (unlikely at this point unless numbness and anxiety progress)

I spent a lot of time reading comments between you and a dude who responded to one of my threads and from what I gather the artificial chambers of the implant actually stimulate the stretch receptors of the penis and can actually stimulate arousal from scratch (although better when actually aroused by a real partner or intense fantasy)

Am I correct in my understanding?

I read some of your old threads, Lostsheep, and saw that back in 2019 you said you're less sensitive now than when you had ED before the implant. Is that still the case? Has your sensitivity not returned at least to the level it was at when your ED was present pre-implant?

Honestly im not even sure my sensitivity/libido could even go lower at this point, so im hoping that things could only go up if i were to ever get implanted.

Tell us, please what any doctors you have seen have said about this lack of sensation. You could have nerve damage or a problem with blood flow. Either could be something that could get worse, and quickly.

Trav8701, I would expect your situation to improve through healing, not get worse as you wrote awhile ago, unless it were a venous leak or peyronies disease, which I think are the most likely causes. If you are on any antidepressants or hairloss medication discuss reducing it. It is the case that people sometimes find improved sensitivity through PDE-5i or injection therapy, as it improves blood flow and provides proper engorgement.
45yo, venous leak. Pills increased tinnitus (very rare). Using bimix+atropine, 0.2 of:
Atropine Sulfate: 52MCG/ML, Phentolamine MES: 0.9MG/ML, Papaverine HCL: 26MG/ML

I do have a slight bend in my dick actually, so I’ve thought about peyronies
When erect, instead of it pointing straight forward, which we will call 12 o clock, it points at maybe 10:30.
I had this bend as long as I remember but the numbness started setting in a year after my jelq injury
