Medical malpractice attorneys Southern California

Postby Tmansdorfer » Tue May 25, 2021 1:54 pm

I have been through a lot the last couple years with my penile implant and at a loss. I have been told by several close friends that I need to file a medical malpractice case against my dr for everything I have been through. I have contacted 5 attorneys in the Southern California area and have been told by all of them that there is no attorney that will take my case due to the chance of winning being very slim. The reasoning is that there is a lot of known risks and also the fact there is not a lot of specialists around to consult and the ones that are are very expensive. I guess my question is has anyone had a case in Southern California and what attorney did they use. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Man, reading your signature, it appears you went through five surgeries, the last being removal of the implant? Did they leave you with a malleable at least? I'd consider speaking with Dr. Kramer, he is willing to try to go in and fix some of these cases that haven't turned out right.

Yes they installed a malleable on the left side and left the right side ipp in place and capped it. Seems like the right side is now infected and will have to be removed and a malleable installed as well. The dr says he left the one side in because I had an issue with the sutures breaking open and the left side going into my scrotum he was trying to avoid happening on the right. I have a appointment with dr Boyd and dr Doyle next Tuesday so we will see what they say.

I tried to get you to go to Dr Boyd when that jerk gave you a floppy glans in the first place. I hope this problem gets resolved. I don't think any attorney would want to go up against USC/Keck. That is a huge organization with lots a of wealthy alumni. I hope at least they will sack your first doctor. Have you had any discussion with the hospital administration? In on case I know of, the patient tore her stitches loose while recovery. That ended up with complications. USC/Keck covered all her expenses from that day forward as the ruled it an accident. They covered everything without her asking for help with the bills. I have had 4 major surgeries at Keck and every experience was great. But I also search out the best dr in each field of surgery at Keck.

I suffered permanent nerve damage/paralysis in my right leg that resulted from a hematoma following a lumbar laminectomy performed by a very highly regarded surgeon about 6 years ago. I consulted with EVERY medical malpractice attorney in Southern California but NONE of them would take the case on a contingency fee basis and only a few of them would even represent me if paid their exorbitant hourly fee.
Whether it's a failed implant, a botched back surgery or any other surgery gone wrong, unfortunately it will be difficult to find a lawyer to take your case.
Ultimately, I proposed that if the surgeon paid me $1.00 and would meet with me, I would drop my lawsuit against him (I was pursuing it pro per). The meeting took place, I got my $1.00 and the satisfaction of telling the asshole how badly he had disabled me for life. No pot of gold at the end of the rainbow but at least some measure of satisfaction. Good luck to you, brother.
Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 76 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.

I just looked in the USC directory and your surgeon is still listed as an implant surgeon. Also I noticed no one has rated him 0 stars for your botched job. I would contact the administration at USC/Keck and demand that your review of him be published and in your comments you should go into the full detail. This may help someone in the future. To be fair, his bio does say he specializes mostly in female urology.

Yes I did have a drain installed for all of my surgeries. The last procedure it was left in for a week because I kept having a lot of drainage.

I am going in tomorrow to have a procedure with dr Doyle and boyd. They are going to remove the other side of the ipp that my previous dr left in. I am hoping this will finally help me get rid of the infection and I can heal quick so I can get the ipp back installed. We will see how it goes.
