So I've just been implanted with Mr Ralph in the UK, literally in the recovery room now! All has gone well so far...
I'm currently inflated and have been told that I will be defeated tomorrow and sent home, to return in 3 weeks to be reinflated for the first time and start cycling the implant from then.
I've heard of much more aggressive cycling protocols recommended by the likes of Eid and Kramer, hot baths etc to really loosen up the tissues and allow for expansion. What do you guys reckon. Is 3 week before reinflating and getting going with the cycling a problem? Don't want it healing up too much around the smaller deflated size! Cheers, Toby.
Cycling protocols. Important?
Re: Cycling protocols. Important?
Doctors vary greatly in their post op protocols. I think it best to follow your surgeons instructions exactly. He is a respected doctor, with a track record so try not to second guess him. He's the one who cut you open, and knows your body and the implant.

Agree with Steve. Listen to your doc as much as you can. He is a good one too. I’m under Eids instructions and 7 days out and sometimes wish I had a doc that waits for cycling just cause of the discomfort right now. Good luck and happy surgery went well. On the road to recovery

Toby,
I had a high volume surgeon do the implant. The procedure required an overnight stay due to a heart condition. The day after surgery did a partial inflation, and released me from the hospital. I had a partial inflation for 4 weeks and returned to his office for a full inflation. I began cycling at 6 weeks because of excessive scrotal pain. I now cycle during a power nap (18-20 minutes) or shaving. I know they don't recommend sleeping with an erection but my power naps are a very controlled, common and a constructive use of time. Been doing them for 30 years. The issue is the scar tissue forming around the cylinders and locking them in to one position. I didn't lose any length or girth with the 6 weeks before cycling. 3-4 weeks is fairly common from what I've read for the adventure of cycling. Best of luck on the new bionics.

Haha, OK, OK, I'll stick to the plan. How would I live with myself if I didn't and something went wrong eh?! Also, Evan Really good to hear that the 6 weeks delay in cycling did no harm to your size...
