Hi all,
I am 23 years old from Texas; I used to post on here fairly often back in 2017/2018. Around the time I was really mentally struggling with my ED issue, I also became heavily involved in sports gambling through bookies and betting sites. I have been able to keep this addiction at bay since July of 2019 through the assistance of 12 step work and other therapy. Fortunately, this work has for the most part given me a healthier outlook on life and appreciation for friends, family, extracurriculars, etc. I’m struggling again mentally obsessing over the ED crap. The few urologists I was able to see back then told me it was in my head, even after injecting me with something and measuring it (still didn’t feel right). Since I started masturbating as a teenager I have had major erection problems. Just wanted to post to see if anyone else here has dealt with addiction in addition to this burden. I don’t want to convince myself that participating in gambling again will do anything to improve my situation

Coping with addiction and ED at a young age
26 years old. USA. ED problem since teenage years. Doctor prescribed ED meds showing some efficacy but not a guarantee. As much as I’d like the implant I now think I should hold off if I’m seeing some results from pills

What have you tried to help with your ED? You didn't mention if you've tried pills, have you tried injections other than at the doctor's office? Ever considered the implant? There are definitely guys your age and younger that got the implant and are very, very happy with it.
Early 30s with ED for years from penis enlargement stretching and jelqing. Implant by Dr Eid on 24 June 2021 with a Titan 24cm with +1cm RTE on one side and -1cm cut off on the other side

I did try some viagra and cialis that the doctor prescribed. I used it with my girlfriend at the time and legitimately felt like it didn’t help much if at all. I’ve had the consideration that I just became desensitized to porn, but now I don’t think it’s that simple. Even when looking at porn I find arousing I have to manually stimulate myself and even then, never a full hard regular erection. I am not at all opposed to the implant but imagine it would be nearly impossible to find a urologist willing to perform such an operation on an otherwise young, healthy person.

Thank you for sharing your experience.
Your post is not very clear and it seems you don't know the exact cause of this problem. ED is a multifactorial condition. You need to do a series of tests to determine the exact nature of your condition (psychogenic, vasculogenic, hormonal) and only your doctor (urologist) can help with you that.
You seem to be a very intense, obsessive person, just like I was when I was your age. In my 20s, I suffered from severe anxiety, obsessed over my sexual performance and didn't even know this was a health problem (and easily treatable, by the way). There was no internet back then, no FT and Viagra was still in its infancy.
When I turned 30 and started doing some research on this subject, everything changed. Knowledge is indeed power. The more you know about sex, the less stressful it will be. Read books, talk to doctors, consult good websites.
You also mentioned porn. I don't want to offend anyone here but I hate porn with a passion. Stay away from that garbage. It is not just filthy and degrading, there are many studies that show that it may cause ED.

Thanks Flavio. You are right that I do have quite an obsessive mind. I feel that some counseling and visiting a urologist would be best. My mind wants that quick fix, just to get the implant and get it over with. But that’s not the rational logical way to approach this

Was there a time just after puberty began when you had good strong erections as adolescents at that age have? Erections that just seem to happen for no reason or from the slightest of touch or sexual thoughts? I ask this as guys of this age have not had the opportunity to develop performance anxiety. When did you start watching porn? Has it been excessive? I was not able to determine by your post if you ever had normal erectile function. Do you have nocturnal erections and are they strong?
Age 57, ED issues for 15-20 years. Testosterone replacement with Enanthate and Ovidrel. Currently using generic Tadalafil 2.5mgs and Resveratrol daily.
