I was hoping to avoid TURP for my BPH and its inevitable retrograde ejaculation side-effect, but after trying aquablation and then consulting with a REZUM specialist he discovered that I had developed prostate stones after the aquablation and needed to undergo bi-polar TURP to get rid of the calcification. That was my worst-case scenario since I find that the ejaculation process is a big part of my sexual gratification. My original plans were to get my BPH under control then get an IPP to solve my ED/veinous leak/Peyronies problem, but now I wonder if it's worth the pain and potential problems if I can't ejaculate externally. I had the TURP yesterday. My bubble's burst, much like the one on the catheter they removed today. It's sort of like getting a nice new handgun that you can only dry fire.
I was wondering how many of you were in a similar situation - unable to ejaculate pre-implant but still went ahead with the procedure. Was it still worth it or are you disappointed because of the missing piece?
is an implant worth it if you already have retrograde ejaculation?

Re: is an implant worth it if you already have retrograde ejaculation?
Let me start out by saying, "Only you can decide"
When I was in the early grips of ED (erection not lasting long enough to satisfy my partner) and later when erections were failing entirely, I thought I would give anything to be able to stay erect long enough to give orgasms to my lover. I wanted to satisfy my lovers THAT MUCH.
Of course, such a Faustian Bargain, as do all such "Deals with the Devil", would come at a price. SHE would have orgasms, but I would never have any.
Fair exchange.
Would I regret it?
Thankfully, I don't have to.
Now, my orgasms are a little difficult to have (maybe 80% of the time, I have coital orgasms, but almost never by fellatio), but hers are reliable and immensely gratifying (especially to a man who disappointed many women over the past 40 years) to me AND to her.
I am happy with the trade I made. A few fewer orgasms for me, the trouble of having an implant in exchange for a happy and satisfied lover.
That is, I traded a few orgasms of mine for a flood of orgasms for my lover. Before my implant, I had orgasms (often without successful penetration) and my lover(s) had virtually none.

Re: is an implant worth it if you already have retrograde ejaculation?
Since I had my prostate removed, I had no ejaculation. Orgasm happens internally only. In the few times I had sex after my RP using Trimix, there was no ejaculation, but that doesn't stop me from getting an implant. Without the implant, I am not able to even have penetrative sex. So, it was for me sex or no sex, and I decided to go for the implant.

You don't have ejaculate after your prostates removed but you still have fantastic orgasims. I had an O today that was so strong that I could not walk for 15 minutes after. I have had one triple O since I got my implant. YES!!!! It is worth it.

I double what oldbeek said, the orgasms are much, much longer and very intense, so yes I miss the ejaculation part but what the hell it is worth it.

Wow, oldbeek and vajim1, that really lifts my spirits! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, and thanks to AST2123 and LS for their perspectives as well.

One other thing thing not mentioned is that ED did a number on me as it took part of me away. Not being able to have an erection left me feeling very bad. I was not a whole person. When I had the surgery all that changed. Even with some problems I had at least I was whole again and it improved most every part of me. I was really grumpy and in a bad place. I am so much better now all the time not just when I have sex. So the benefits are way more than just having penetrative sex with a partner.
And I do have retro ejaculation. And slow intense orgasms. But like LS I am about making a women happy. That makes me happy. It is a false feeling though as we all (women and men) are responsible for our own orgasm. No one can "give" it to anyone. We have to give it to ourselves. But at least now I do not prevent it for the woman I am with.

About the "Give orgasm" thought: Exactly. I have been trying to wean myself from the phrasing that suggests that just one person in the act is responsible for either person's orgasm.
I think of myself as enabling her to orgasm (and her, mine). That is, we are in a joint activity to produce orgasms. Neither of us is alone in the effort.
If I cannot keep my erection, I become an impediment. If I can keep my erection, her (coital) orgasm is possible. I cannot take full credit for creating her orgasm, but I CAN take credit for being an element of the production process.
