same boat as you, so i had my 3 piece installed jan 28 by dr brock up here in ontario canada but i had some hemotoma issues and swelling which somehow caused a very high riding pump which got stuck about half way up my shaft.
June 3rd was a revision to fix it, but unfortunately it got infected and i had to get it out last week. My doctor installed a malleable to assist with the scar tissue. I do know my first surgery dr brock said he had to remove a lot of scar tissue initially - i wouldn’t worry too much about this it’s just extra work for your surgeon to remove it and
then then process of cycling over time to regain length from what people say here.. also if doctor recommends VED to keep the scar tissue loose go for it
we’ll get through it! 3 months to heal and try again

Re: Infection and complications
The important thing in this situation is to get rid of the infection. With the LGX you should have no problem losing length. First things first!
I just can not figure why anybody would recommend a ved after you have been told you had an infection. Healing has to be the priority.

The fact is that if you get shorter cylinders than your original surgery you will lose length. No amount of cycling will help. This is why Clavell’s protocol is key. I would even do traction with a suction device all day.
I don’t know how a malleable would affect blood flow into the cavernosum. I’ve always wondered if it’s best to take everything out and do VED. Or put in a malleable and possibly not be able to.
I believe even with a malleable you will get shorter cylinders when they place an inflatable implant.
