For those over 1 year with implant: How often do you inflate? Just for use or more often?

my surgeon told me:

"just inflate it when you need to use it"

and
he did acknowledge the idea that if you inflate a whole bunch of times, "you will wear it out faster".

But, he acknowledges that the point of the implant is to use it, so you should not become stingy with your cycle count with hopes of prolonging implant life.

For me, I tend to lean towards inflating only for sex, but occasionally, I will inflate for masturbation. I have the intuitive feeling that their is a "cycle count" lifetime, but it appears that this number of cycles is highly variable between implantees.

I believe your surgeon may have done you a disservice by not informing you about the advantages of regular inflation of your implant (and the benefits of pre-implant erections by Vacuum Erection Device - no constriction ring, just for therapy).

If you inform your surgeon of that omission, you may benefit future patients.

Yes he never gave me much follow up info. I was inflated about 60% for the first 5 weeks. Prior to implant I was still getting night time erections about once a week, just went flaccid quick when I'd wake up and realize it.

Looking back the issue I was having made me not want to inflate anyway. Every inflation up to around 6 months caused a sunburn sensation along my shaft. Terrible at first but down to minimal by 4 months. My thought was a reaction to the antibiotic impregnated on the cylinders. At 5 months out I found FT and began to cycle. Two months of cycling and the gain was maybe 1/8 inch length and 1/4 inch girth. Gave up.

The biggest issue with my implant is I knew nothing about them other than I could get an erection again. Went into the surgery blind and let the surgeon decide everything because of not knowing what to ask. IF I ever need a revision it will be a different story with all the knowledge gained here on FT.

I am over 6 months and I am finding pumping it once a day to be difficult. Is it fine if sometimes I pump it every other day instead of pumping once daily?

I'm 10 months out and cycled twice daily for the first 6 months then went to one daily for an hour each time. I didn't lose any length but lost about 3'4 inches girth. Haven't seen any gains in girth or length.
I can pump until all the fluid is out of the bulb so I don't see gaining any more size n matter how much I cycle. I would need more fluid in my revivor.

I am over a year, I just pump once a day. Sometimes, I stop for several days, my ball sac hurts! I have the legacy pump...release valves on both sides of block.

Indusvalley, when you deflate, try actually pulling your dick out from you and deflate.

At first it was painful for me to inflate, not only my sack but a reaction to antibiotic made my shaft feel on fire. I never did any cycling because I never knew or was told to do so.
Now at 18 months out it's twice a week, one for sex with wife and one to masturbate.

To keep the valve lubricated you should put a few pumps in daily and the release it. Do one more pump to reset the valve in the pump position. That is out of the AMS literature. That sore scrotum thing. I have a pump to open a valve to urinate every 2 hours in my sack also. I pump up at least every other day.
