So, for some background and context, I had RP surgery August 2020 which also included removal of 22 lymph nodes of which 5 were metastatic. As part of surgery one set of nerve bundles were removed. Gleason 4+5. Then, from March - June 2021 went through 38 radiation treatments. Also, in February 2021 I started ADT (Lupron) with a six-month shot. I have not had another Lupron dose and plan is to stop ADT. So, I am fully aware of the issues around ED, penile length, etc. and have real expectations for all of that.
I had IPP surgery August 2021 (four weeks ago) at the University of Utah Hospital with Dr. Hotaling and had AMS 700 LGX installed. Fairly typical surgery and recovery so far. Prior to all of this I was fairly average in terms of penile size, but was never really that guy that measured. But I would say I was average and would say 5 inches. So, again, given all my circumstances I am very aware of the impact to size.
Following the surgery, I am 3.5 inches when flaccid. Of course, obviously with the cylinders much harder than prior to surgery. Following the initial three weeks of recovery, I had my first office visit and was told to start cycling daily. I am comfortable with both inflating and deflating. But, when I inflate I am really only able to get that first pump and hear the click and feel the bulb depress and go flat. After that, it is very hard, almost impossible, to pump the bulb again. Maybe I get a very small squeeze but the bulb is essentially very hard and won't let me get another squeeze in where the bulb goes flat when depressing.
I spoke with the Boston Scientific rep and she said this could be fairly common and is just part of the stretching and recovery from the surgery. So, in conclusion, with that one pump I am able to get to 4 inches but I can tell there is enough "free" skin that I should be able to expand to 4.5 or maybe 4.75 or 5. Getting back to 4.75 or 5 would be amazing for me given that's about where I was before everything related to my cancer and the impact of the surgery and treatments I have gone through.
I am wondering from everyone's experience if what I have seen is normal and if my growth expectations can be met with time and effort to daily cycle? If so, would you say I could see those results in 3 months, 6 months or 12 months? This is far from the most important thing in my life as I continue to battle the disease, but getting this part of my life back would be a great!

Re: New AMS 700 LGX - Growth Potential
Age 65. I’m not sure if having ED most of my life could be called “lucky” but yes, I’ve been fortunate not to have had to deal with cancer. Let me sincerely tell you I wish the best for you in future avoidance of any recurrence, as well as a long and enjoyable time using the heck out of your LGX.
What you’re seeing with the LGX is very familiar. I went thru pretty much same thing. When I was first told to start cycling I could mash the pump four or five times, it was hard as a rock, and it would leave me just about 5”.
Time passed. I healed up. I got bold. I started mashing or squeezing pump harder and more times. Sure enough it kept getting closer and closer to original size. I’m happy with where I’ve gotten to. I started at 6 3/4 erect, currently top out a hair past 6 1/2. I tell myself that’s not a size deficiency, that’s a rounding error, and I really feel that way. Less than 1/4” means nothing. Wife can’t tell. It’s not like she holds a ruler up to my dick in bed.
It’s not immediate but over time I think you will find pumping gets easier, the size does expand, and you will get back to where you were. It would help me “predict” if I knew what they put in you. Do you have your card with implant size & RTEs?

Re: New AMS 700 LGX - Growth Potential
Westwood, my story and timeline are near identical to yours regarding prostate cancer, radiation and Lupron/ADT. I was on the Lupron/Zytega for a year....that part was actually the worst for me. As far as implant goes, I'm not quite there yet but working toward that and getting close. I have had some medical prep work done here locally that is being reviewed as I write this to be able to get on the schedule with my surgeon who is out of state.
So I am interested to hear the responses regarding the pumping issues as I anticipate to be at that stage fairly soon. This site has been and continues to be so helpful on this journey. From everything I've read there is definitely a break in period with the pump along with acquiring proper technique. Thanks for sharing your story.
As far as pre-op and post-op sizing, at where I'm at right now is not even on my radar. My focus is totally on regaining a "usable organ". I'll gladly forfeit some size for function and be happy to make that deal.
Best of luck.

Thank you so much for those thoughtful responses and I wish both of you all the best in your journeys! So, in regard to my surgery here is what was implanted, and based on these numbers, hopefully that will provide additional detail to foretell what I can expect. Thank you in advance for your feedback and guidance.

Westwood, you only need to add more and more pumps till you reach the max inflation. Inflate while you are taking a warm shower or bath. This will soften the pump. Length will be regained in a few months. Just focus on pumping as much as you can once or twice a day, as per your doctor's instructions.

Westwood: I come bearing tidings of what might be great joy. You know, good news. Let me caveat that by saying I’m not a doctor. I don’t play one on TV. But based upon your implant, you have the potential to get what you want and then some.
I’m not going to go thru the whole spiel I did on a similar thread, but maybe the Readet’s Digest condensed version will help.
Your penis is in two parts. The front half which is visible, the back half behind the pubic bone which isn’t.
It varies based on anatomy but most guys exhibit something between a 2/3-1/3 split and a 3/4-1/4 split.
In your case, let’s figure conservatively. 2/3 of ypur dick is visible snd 1/3 is hidden back behind the pubic bone.
You’ve got 19 cm of implant installed. That works out to 12.7 cm visible, 6.3 cm behind the pubic bone.
That gives you exactly 5 inches of visible penis. But it gets better. Your implant didn’t go all the way to the end of the penis. There is somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4 inch in front of the end of the implant.
Therefore, by the time you really finish healing up good, and can really pump that thing way up, you have no reason to expect anything less than about 5 1/2 inches.
Yeah, there can be some variation in anatomy and you might have an incredibly deep crus, resulting in less visible penis. But I wouldn’t bet money on it.I would bet money that a 18+1 cm
LGX delivers 5 1/2 inches.

Txagq8 is bang on about this. I have the same implant and the same dimensions and got installed almost at the same time i.e. 3 weeks ago.
My pre size was 5.5" n post op is around 4.5". Considering what he just explained, we should get back to 5 or 5.5" glans included.
32, Venogenic ED all my life. Tried Viagra, Cialis and Cock Rings with minimum to no effect.

I too am facing the same issue. vant pump beyond 6 or 7 pumps. But the strange thing is for deflatin, I need to keep pressing the deflate button for a long time. The literature on AMS says it is a 1 touch button. I have just started cycling but I have to press the deflation button for a long time in order to deflate. All videos say it is the depth of the push not the duration.
Is anyone facing this problem that you have to press for a long time?

Re: New AMS 700 LGX - Growth Potential
I may be wrong, but I don't think I am.
I read the operating room manual for the ams 700lgx. You can find it online with Google.
It wasn't one touch, it instructed that you hold the release valve down for 4 seconds. This prevents issues like failure to deflate. After this, I can press the penis gently to remove more fluid without touching the release button.
Before I inflate I also do this, it ensures that the 'pop' occurs, the closing of the valve, presumably from the pressure of fluid. I don't know the mechanism of action.
In practice it works for me.
I am 2 months post op. I can get more and more pumps in everyday. The bulb is much easier to squeeze. To begin I could get maybe 6,7,8 pumps. Now.... I don't know 15, then some partial.

@westwood; to help you with the length, there is a surgery called the sliding technique. It's a very risky procedure, though.
I ( 29 M) took Spironolactone 400 mg to treat my hair loss. As a result, the penis shrunk from 6” to 4”. with Severe erectile dysfunction. Looking into the penile implant with Sliding Technique.
