Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for understanding urologists who've you've had good experiences with in Toronto. Preferably one who would be open to more extensive/exploratory diagnostic testing to find out what is wrong, and if needed be willing to recommend me for an implant even if in the end injections/VED work (just not interested in them at this age).
Some context:
I haven't posted on here in a while (thankfully haha), as since my initial trauma I was able to get decent EQ with Cialis after a few months.
This basically worked well enough for 5/6 years, however I suddenly got tinnitus and ear problems out of the blue (well a few days after my second Vax). I stopped cialis then and sure enough I still had ED (I had tried coming off cialis a few times in the past to see).
I can get enough EQ for penetration, but it take a lot of work and arousal (way more than before my injury), and often is just enough which isn't great. It also needs almost constant stimulation to stay hard enough. This is if I'm alone as well, and not just with my partner. Fortunately I have an understanding partner so I don't have much performance anxiety, I've accepted the situation a long time ago.
I have tried cialis a few more times since stopping. Every time it spikes my tinnitus to high heaven and I get ear fullness / pain. I don't mind a temporary spike but each time it has risen my baseline, needless to say I don't think I can put another ped-5 in my body ever again.
A couple strange symptoms since the trauma:
My CS and glans are fully deflated and soft always, unless I manually occulde the dorsal vein, even with cialis this was the case.
Even if my EQ isn't great, I stay a quarter mast for a long time after O, like a bit of blood just sits there I guess. Before the trauma I went fully soft
What I'm Trying:
-I tried a cock ring last night but it didn't do anything... maybe I need a tighter one to help so going to try that.
-I am also doing extensive pelvic floor rehab now to see if getting more control / relaxation of the area will help, and rule out pelvic floor issues (I don't have pain or anything but have always had that 'hard flaccid' condition to a variable degree since the trauma).
-Mindfulness / relaxation ect. always a good thing. Talking to a therapist
-No porn / mo or anything, I've done this for a long time but continuing it as it helps with my arousal
Honestly at the end of the day I want to be able to have sex when aroused, and not have EQ be such an issue. An implant would fix these issues, but I don't think most urologists would recommend it if injections work (although I am really not interested in that route). It also sucks that the pills do work, but I really just can't take them anymore, and they all have the same MOA.
Anyway I digress, thanks for reading my post and I really appreciate your advice!
