Hi there, apologies for the numerous threads of late. I am just contemplating starting injections so I want to have all the information available before I take the 'plunge'. Two questions I would like your anecdotal experience on:
What are ways I can minimize the chance of scarring / fibrosis?
Will any scarring from injections complicate implant if I go that way down the road?
I would love to hear your experiences / thoughts on this.
Best Regards

Re: Questions about fibrosis / scarring
Start with alpostradil only + 5mg daily cialis? You don’t have any history in your sig (a/o this writing) so maybe that won’t apply if meds do nothing for you of late?

ED since mid '20, with slight Peyronies. Thus begins a search for the right solution(s); 56yo a/o Sep '21. Three months into my quest (12/21), I think PT-141, Cialis/tadalafil 20mg and L-Arginine (maybe other herbs) are a winning formula. For now.
Re: Questions about fibrosis / scarring
As for the scarring/ fibrosis, i did pills for many years and in 2019 they stopped working. So on to injections. Went 19 months with them and had to stop from scarring/fibrosis caught up with me. Every guy is different, a lot of men here go many years. I would say limitations on frequency of injections, the rt technique injecting, and try to hit any veins.i had some calcium deposits that weren't too big, but there was no issues implanting and little pain.

Been using Trimix 30-1-10 for about 1 1/2 years. No scarring or any other issues. I usually inject twice a week. I read several articles and threads here giving injection advice before I started. You should too. As mentioned before every man is different so even if you follow all the tips you may still develop fibrosis. From what I've read men with peyronies, scarring, etc... go on to have successful implants all the time.
Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.

Leebert probably meant to say "try to not hit any veins." I've been injecting once a week for three years and have no scarring or fibrosis. As 68CatFan says, learn the technique because the Trimix will then go into the corpi cavernosum and none will bother the other tissues. The "Injections" topic is full of good injection technique advice going back years.
Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.

Re: Questions about fibrosis / scarring
I have been using trimix and then quad mix for over seven years.
A year or so ago, after I had passed the 800-injection mark, I asked my urologist to check for scarring.
He found none.

Re: Questions about fibrosis / scarring
alprostradil is safer because it doesn’t contains the acidic ingredients that trimix does. i actually was injecting wrong for a long time and developed some scarring on the ventral base of my penis. but thankfully it didn’t do anything because i do traction all the time.
i recommend doing LIGHT traction with something like the penimaster pro. also use a VED on the days you don’t inject to make sure any scars don’t contract.
