Red scrotum syndrome

Postby Masonjames » Mon Nov 01, 2021 9:56 am

Didn't really know where to post this question but I was hoping some of the members here could help me out.
i recently underwent some treatments for Condyloma of the Urethrae and had a reaction to the drug used to treat it. My ball sack has been very red looking for the past several years and I think I have what is called Red Scrotum syndrome. It never bothered me and was just ugly looking. Well when I had the reaction they started burning and developed raw places. As you can imaging I'm having a hard time carrying on with my normal activities.
My doctor currently has me on an anti fungal, an antibiotic, and a steroid pack. I see him again Wednesday. If this treatment is helping is sure is slow in doing so.
Have any of you guys experienced this? If so what did you do? Is their any topical I can use to treat the burning? The only symptom I don't have is itching. I just burn like fire. I'm including an article on the subject. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This may not be related at all but just in case.

I had issues in the groin and scrotum area for years. I treated it with powder, both medicated and not, cortisone products and antifungals. All with limited results. One day it suddenly got worse. I discovered my wife had just switched her fabric softener. I had her ditch the fabric softener and switch to hypoallergenic laundry detergent. Problem solved. All those years of suffering and it turned out to be a contact dermatitis from laundry products.

For me, I had trouble with groin rashes and inflation for years. The older I got, the worse it got. Like bidoink, it was laundry detergent and fabric softener with dyes and perfumes. Switched to hypoallergenic detergent and softener, and no problem since. Tide was especially bad.
It's worth trying Mason.

Interesting... why did/does the rash present only there?
ED since mid '20, with slight Peyronies. Thus begins a search for the right solution(s); 56yo a/o Sep '21. Three months into my quest (12/21), I think PT-141, Cialis/tadalafil 20mg and L-Arginine (maybe other herbs) are a winning formula. For now.

I really don't know. When I've had jock itch it was worse in the creases between my balls and leg. This is isolated to my scrotum only

You're also describing yeast but it sounds like you're already being treated for that.
