Well it’s that time of the year to look for health insurance for next year. I’m so happy I got the plan I got this year as my surgery cost were around 132,000 but my deductible was only 1500$ so it was worth paying the extra monthly premiums. Now after speaking with my doctor as insurance for next year, he said I would only come in for follow ups that I could self pay and not pay the big premium. I do want to get a bigger implant in the future so I’ll plan so I have insurance that will cover doctor Carrion at that time. So all healed up size is getting better and my wife loves the implant and she never has to worry about me getting soft and I can go as long as it takes and that’s a great boost of confidence I got from my surgery! I’ve posted my entire experience from day 1 but if you have any questions feel free to send me your number and we can share experiences. Best of luck to future bionics

132k for the surgery, an implant surgery?

Why so much???

What the hospital invoices to the insurance is much more wrt what you are normally asked to pay out of pocket

Generally the billed price will have an asterisk next to it. If you follow down to the fine print you'll find that the price was quoted. The actual price paid "per agreements" was less. Insurance companies consider negotiated discounts as proprietary business information & will not divulge the true paid cost.
If your policy has a co-pay as a percentage of the bill. You might be able to use your co-pay to get a fairly good idea of what was paid. If your co-pay is a fixed amount. You're out of luck.
Most people will agree that the general price is somewhere between $18k to $30k. Depending on customary charges in your locality & facilities used.
It's highly unlikely that many doctors quote a cash price around or below $25k but that some hospital gets 6 times as much money. Insurance companies are not know to be generous.

My bad, I forgot that Confused95 wasn't in the USA. The prices for medical care can seem outrageous to non Americans. Once you understand how the relationship between the insurance industry & the medical industry is. The prices can be put into perspective. Basically, the $132 billed price is not likely to be the real price.

I’m glad to know that could not be the real price just in case I need a redo! I must share this after having the implant it feels better to sleep with no underwear but till LAST night my chiwawa was under the covers and Bit me right in my dick! Oh lord if It punctured one of the cylinders or damaged it? I had a good hole from the Bite on my penis. So now I wear big shorts to avoid that pain. I mean it was painful getting it done in the first place so I don’t want anymore!

Jesus Christ. Why not just exile the dog from the bedroom? No way I'm sleeping in the same room with an animal that BITES ME IN THE DICK.

Yes. Mine was a month ago. I won't sugar coat it. It's very uncomfortable. Our penis is an incredibly sensitive organ. I wouldn't describe it as immediate pain all the time, but very sore and most any movements would make you aware it's down there. I was walking funny for about a week, legs stretched out, bending over when I needed to stand. But after maybe, let's say, 3 weeks, most of the discomfort was gone. Like someone else said, it's worth it, and you can handle a few weeks of pain for a lifetime cure of erectly dysfunction.

Also, advice: try not to ask for too many refills of oxycodone too fast because they kick you off it. You don't wanna drive to the ER to prove your penis hurts.

Yes the pain was better after the first month for sure! Then I started to get over the hump and think it was a good idea to do the surgery. After like ten months now all is well and sex life is back to normal except the cold feeling at the tip witch I use the Trimax gel for. As far as the dog your right that shit hurt! I mean has anybody every bitten your dick really hard it hurts even after recovering and healed!

Hey Raycaba thank you for sharing your journey which I read with great interest.
I am new to the group and just starting my research now trying to find the right surgeon and trying to choose between the titan and the AMSLGX.
You mentioned quite a few times that your flacid is like a semi chub and didnt feel right. Do you think that this due to the rigidity of the titan?
Can any other Titan Coloplast receivers share their thoughts on this and if they have had similar experiences.
