AMS LGX Implanted Dick in Trousers Issues

It seems that the most common form of failure with the AMS is tears in the cylinders at the sites where both of them must be expected to bend to allow your "now only-ever-only-semi-flaccid" dick to fit into your underwear and trousers, etc.

I'm just re-equipped with the same design of AMS implant, as of yesterday, and have done some searches on this topic, but there are so many possible terms that could be used, that I can't seem to find relevant information.

Sorry if it's right here staring at me, but really want, and need, to start off in totally the right direction with this one.

According to my surgeon, I had massive tears in both cylinders, and the corporeal tissue had grown both cavities, making extraction of the old one a bigger than expected issue. YUK..

There must be ways and means to minimise the cylinders kinking, or avoid it altogether.

And underwear types that keep the penile shaft straight.

Thus far the surgeon has indicated highly supporting underwear, and I have been using very strong lycra Speedo type swimwear, the kind that make even well hung men look like babies.

It seems to me that "never allowing dickie to be fully deflated" would be a step in the right direction, and, additionally, constantly varying which side to have him be placed. "Directly up" even fully deflated is not possible, as he would be past my underwear elastic and extremely uncomfortable.

Over and down is most natural, but the definition of madness is to keep self-inflicting what causes damage, even if that positioning produces the most sexy bulge.

Loose boxers, none at all, and jock straps all cause bends unless the outer garment is nothing , or perhaps a Biblical era toga.

Do many guys leave their dicks partially inflated all day in tight underwear and survive the many problems that entails ?

What is the advice of guys whose implants have lasted many more years than mine did?

This is a serious long term issue that especially the "yet-to-be-implanted" need to understand.

And please don't say " Get a Titan". . . . . . . . . ..

Dr Eid says that 99% of the times the failure is due to the tubings (he referred to AMS 700 CC and TITAN), but maybe the LGX is very fragile.. why didn’t you go for the CX?

That's an interesting insight. I just had my revision and my doc told my a had 2 bilateral tears also.. He said he hadn't seen this before and no explanation. I have follow up with him in Dec and I'll bring this up. From now on, I'll have a few pumps to keep the folds from occurring.

I guess I wanted the claimed girth expandability of the LGX. I don't know about the CX, much, at all, but the "knobby" texture of the Titan I felt up once, seemed awful.

The point here is not other makes and models.

We didn't know just how bad the two tears were untilI was horizontal and comatose.

I was prepared for some non-invasive pre-op tests, but we marched str8 into a full removal and replacements as per original.

I must be mistaken, but isn't there is a whole lot of stuff here, including my own posts talking about the "bent straw" analogy of stress concentration in the main cylinders and fracture initiation at those "collapse points". . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

There must be some collected wisdom out there in direct reference to the real problems I raise.

Should I just not wear Levi jeans again, and fit out my trouser and underwear collection with 100% "Bombay Bloomer" style clothing? (British Army slang, WW2).

That would be the very opposite of my Dr's very brief advice so far. . . . . . .

But clearly, I need to quiz my Dr more closely.

I'm told the Rep from AMS was in attendance, during my operation.

I’ve stopped wearing the constrictive Lycra, but left my dick at about 15% inflation in my floppy track pants and have been up the street like that.
I am still hoping to get some helpful comments about the wisdom of leaving my cock with a semi erection 100% of the time in order to not allow the cylinders to collapse.
This is a revision due to a pretty spectacular tearing issue.
I’m wanting to start it off in the best possible manner.
It’s unfortunate that the last reply was clearly not meant for me.
When do I give up hoping for something relevant to me ?

This is the first time I have heard of failure in this form.
I also was sure that the most common cause of failure in the ams was the tubing, and that the most common in the titan was the pump.
Fissures along with tissue growing between them sounds very gnarly.

I understand your analogy with stress factors on straws.
Is just the first time I have heard of it, i thought the cylinders were extremel strong.

I don't think there is a way around did other than that which you have suggested, the less deflated the better. I never fully deflate, the natural appearance of the flaccid ams with some inflation looks like a plump flaccid.

I also suspect your old cylinders were weak, faulty, and that this will not be an issue again. Let's hope so.

Jeans have been uncomfortable for me to wear since my implant. Briefs left me hanging out the leg so I switched to boxer briefs. Those keep my shaft at a nice angle, snug but more of a bulge than I ever had. Most days I only wear sweat pants now. (nice to be retired and not have to go to work daily) Dress pants are no problem.
However something I've wondered is my sleep preference and if it affects my implant. I tend to sleep on my stomach with my shaft tucked straight down between my legs. Some days it'll be slightly sore at the base where I can feel the tubing. Other days if I've slept on my stomach for an extended time the head will be tender.
