So how do you deal with the feeling that you have to piss while on the catheter?

I recently had a catheter for four days due to a severe prostate bleed. The urge to pee was excruciating painful, after two days my uro called in a med for spasms. The feeling I had to pee stayed but the spasms finally calmed down.
Rusty4 Hated side effects of pills, they quit working over year ago
Goal is future implant, enjoying trimix for now,

You just had the implant surgery today If I remember your post from yesterday. Are you in the hospital or at home? Catheters have a strange sensation under the best of circumstances. The doc kept me in the hospital for 6 hours after surgery with a catheter inserted. Just having the catheter in make you feel like you need to pee. Just let 'er rip. If your catch bag is filling up you are peeing. The nurse's at the hospital will drain the bag every little while and measure the volume. They will let you know if there is a problem.
Implant 1/28/2021. Dr Stephen A Johnson. Done at Baylor, Scott and White in Sherman, Texas. TRT since 2005, serious ED from 2004. Used nearly all PDE5 drugs. Injections failed. Started cycling at 1 week. Cycle most days. AMS 700 CX 23cm, 100ml reservoir.

Same here. The first few times the spasms struck I thought I was going to pass out.

The pain of peeing after the catheter was the worst part of my surgery. Felt like I was pissing fire for about four days and spasms didn't help either. A patient rep told me to ask for extra lube, They come pre-lubed but he said the extra lube makes a world of difference. Wish I'd have known this before the implant
