I understand best is a subjective term. But as lostsheep told me, I want to explore all options prior to going into implant. Sildenafil never worked for me for some reason. Tadalafil kinda works but not well. Is dr eid the best for consult? I dont live in nyc but can I visit him for consult and maybe ultrasound if the cause is VL?
I am looking for any other doctors who is just good as him.

Re: Recommended doctor prior to implant. Whos the best?
I’m well on the journey to implant. By a lot of reading and research Dr Eid is amongst the top. Also do some research on Dr Perito in Coral Gables Florida. He does the minimally invasive intrapubic aproach and is in the top implanters in the Nation. He also does MTP. Meet the Penis which is a great series on any Implant questions you might have. Find it on You tube. Since I live in central Arkansas, I have researched and found a high volume implanter in Dallas which is just 4-1/2 hours from me who studied and certified under Perito and does the same procedure. They generally use Coloplast and has the surgery down to less than 30 minutes and a much quicker recovery rate than the average. My research has lead me to find a high volume implanted with the most up to date technology on surgery. My local urologist does the implants but uses scrotal approach and only does 8-10 a year… I’m sure he’s competent….. but I would rather use a Dr who does roughly that many implants each week.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta is great! He did my implant surgery.
A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.

Re: Recommended doctor prior to implant. Whos the best?
Before answering your question, I need to underline that I have made extensive researches and I have come to the conclusion that the Penoscrotal surgery is my preferred procedure for many reasons, some of them being:
The downside is that it takes a little longer to be performed and it is slightly more complicated for the surgeon.
While I am sure that there are extremely reputable and experienced surgeons, such as Dr Perito, that may prefer infrapubic surgery not exclusively because it is a simpler procedure for them, I also have no intention to get an extremely visible scar on my belly similar to a C-section and I would not either renounce to all the benefits that I have mentioned above.
My current short list of experienced, reputable surgeons is including without order of preference, Dr. Tariq HAKKY (Atlanta) , Dr. J. François EID (New York) and Dr. Jonathan CLAVELL (Houston). All of them seem to be very experienced in preforming Penile Implant by Penoscrotal surgery with all the "fringe benefits" that are coming along.
- it does not leave a scar on your belly,
- it allows the surgeon to better place the implant, the pump and the reservoir,
- the Penoscrotal scar is generally invisible thanks to the natural skin texture of your scrotum,
- the pump can be placed at the bottom of your scrotum and it is very well concealed,
- there is no front tubing visible at the bottom of your shaft nor around your shaft or scrotum,
- it allows the surgeon to put a larger implant and better dilate the corpus cavernosum,
- it also allows to simultaneously perform some aesthetic surgery to improve the visual appearance of your shaft by giving the impression that it is slightly longer (see Scrotal webbing).
The downside is that it takes a little longer to be performed and it is slightly more complicated for the surgeon.

Granted but it is still close to 2cm and you are lucky as most of the scars that I have seen are obviously much larger. Furthermore with the infrapubic approach you are unable to hide tubing, I understand that they can be felt by touching the shaft base and most probably prominently visible by the naked eyes and felt during intimate relations. Without taking in account the difficulties for the surgeons in placing the maximum implant size and simultaneously performing other aesthetic procedures that you may or may not require.

Re: Recommended doctor prior to implant. Whos the best?
i think the main reason i give eid an edge over hakky is that he has your cycling on day three.
this is crucial to expanding scar tissue and maximize size.
although i do believe hakky may be a bit more aggressive in sizing but idk.
