Rezum or Urolift?

Postby Bailey » Mon Nov 29, 2021 10:27 pm

I had a successful implant done over 2 years ago. Now I have a UTI infection, and on antibiotics. I’ll be seeing the urologist 12/9. I’m almost certain they are going to suggest doing the Rezum or the Urolift on me. Has anyone out there had either one of these procedures done that also have a penile implant. If so, would you kindly share what you’re experience has been both good & bad. I would appreciate your feedback very much. Bailey

I’m going in for prostate ultrasound in January and was discussing urolift as opposed to aquablation for severe BPH. Also discussed getting a implant in the very near future. My urologist said you can not do a urolift if you have an implant because there’s always the risk of puncturing the implant. He also suggested doing the aquablation as there’s way less side affects than other procedures, and it tends to last up to and exceed 8-10 years where urolift is typically only good for 3-4 years. Also told me to get my prostate issues fixed and after healing from that will move on to an implant….. test in late January, prostate procedure asap afterwards, two to three weeks for healing from that and get implanted asap afterwards. So probably be implanted by March or April scheduling permitting
