What experiences have you guys had at the airport? What does a penile implant look like on the TSA screen? Also does it show up on the tsa precheck machines?

Just got back from flying out for a long weekend in Denver. On the way out, no issues. On the way back they asked if they could pat down my left shoulder.

I had no issues. They did run the metal wand around me. Did not bother me in the least.

There have been a number of posts on this. One 3 or so years ago seemed to indicate that at that time the size of the implant made a difference. At least for the members that replied to that thread. Hardly scientific study. IIRC 21cm was the break over point. Less than 21cm less chance of it showing up and greater than 21cm more chance of it showing up. A 21cm about 50 50. That may have been with the old scanners though. There have been other threads since then if you'd care to do a search on this forum.

Travel often and just again today, Dallas to Denver. Got pulled aside for pat down. Happens about 75% of the time for me. Today, Guy ran back of his hand down groin area and sides. Said is that your penis. I said yes, he did the hand swab and on we went. Not a problem but my adult daughter was with me, she asked why they did that, I just said they saw something in my pocket, but nothing was in my pocket. She was good with that, wife just smiled....
