Anyone with tight scrotum have trouble reaching release valve?
I just had the AMS 700 inserted 10 days ago. It seems my doc did a great job because, while I was definitely sore, swollen and black and blue, after 10 days, I only have a little soreness and a little bruising. My doc mentioned prior to surgery that I have a tight scrotum (it almost never hangs down loose unless I’m really warm), and said I may have a little more trouble than most adjusting to operating the pump. I haven’t started cycling, haven’t had post op appt yet, but since the swelling is mostly gone, I’ve been feeling astound down there. My pump bulb seems to be as low as it can get, even bulging out a bit at the bottom of my scrotum. But when I try o feel the release valve at the top, I can’t feel it. It seems up in my body. I know we are told to tug it down, but it already seems as low as it can go and I’m concerned. Anyone else have this issue?

It can make it tough to grasp it for sure. You can always get in a warm or hot shower or bath and soften it up.Mine is usually soft anyway so no problem most of the time!

I've got pretty limited real estate in my sack and it took a good 2 months for the pump to move around. At 10 days you're still in healing mode. Just keep tugging and exploring; preferably in a warm bathtub

Like you I have a tight scrotum, but after you heal you’ll find it easier to find the deflate valve. I would take a very warm wash cloth and hold it there for a few minutes to soften up my scrotum. You should be fine after healing more.

I had a lot of trouble finding the release valve. My dr told me to take a week off, wear a jockstrap with my duck pointed up for a week and then resume. After that week things softened up and I can find it now.
