corporatestiff: You could try a combination of sildenafil (generic Viagra) and Trimix. This is urologist-prescribed and allows me to use about half the Trimix I would use otherwise, and the side effects are less. (I use the max sildenafil: 100mg with 35-45 units Trimix.) My wife has been in menopause for 20 years and her libido and lubrication are as good as before.
All: If wives and girlfriends saw our posts, we might be reticent.

Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.

Martin, you're lucky, my wife had endometriosis and had to have everything removed at 34 years old. That has not helped in the libido, or lubrication part! It wasn't too bad for about 8 years because she went on HRT, but then they found that could cause cancer to return, didn't want that so she stopped taking it. Tried a vaginal cream for a while, but for some reason she didn't care for that? I don't like using the VED, (not very spontaneous, pun intended) and mostly she can get me hard enough, especially when taking a Cialis, that I can put the constriction band on.
Retired 65 y.o. Married. Moderate ED since 2019. Use constriction band ocassionately to help maintain erection, or Cialis/Viagra. Nocturnal/morning erections returning with VED usage. Lower libido than before.

My wife had to have everything inside removed years ago. she took hormones for quite awhile and that was great but she felt she had to go off them about 10 years ago and it has changed some. Dryness bothers her and libido for her has gone downhill. She still takes care of me but more from a duty type thing. Only comfortable in one position, I call it Zombie sex!! Lay on the belly with pillow support, don't move or make a sound. It works, I guess. I use a VED most of the time. Just once in a while Ii can go all the way without it but very little. My doctor mentions putting in a pump almost every time I go see him, but I worry about losing feeling in my penis from having it.

Mrscott, sounds like we're paddling the same boat together! My wife prefers one position too, on her back with her legs over mine, me on my side. Usually have to finish her with Wand vibe, not a lot of feeling down there for her. I feel bad for her, and I know it affects me psychologically, it's not the spontaneity I would prefer but it's something. She did try the stomach position but between her back issues, and having to use a lot of lube because of dryness, it takes away the friction I need because of less sensitivity on my part. Just not the sex life I thought we'd have at our age.
I'm really glad this FT site exists, it's good to know I'm not alone with this, but at the same time I don't wish it on anyone else. This really depresses me I can tell, plus with the added ED, pump and constriction band!!! I'm pretty healthy and enjoy exercising, so this really is not what I expected at this juncture in life.

Corporatestiff,
I know you've heard this before but, everything I've ever read points to exercise helping a lot with the health issues you have. I'm not pushing it on you, but facts are facts and I've actually seen it happen for people I've worked with. You don't have to be a bodybuilder, powerlifter, or marathoner, just start something and stick with it, you'll find after a while that if you skip workouts you'll actually miss doing them. If you can join a gym that'd be great, there are people there who will be glad to help you, most have been through the same thing themselves. If you can't get to a gym buy a few dumbells (you need some freeweight resistance exercises) and use them at home. Start a walking regimine, maybe even with your wife, and who knows you might even start light jogging? The main thing is to "get moving and exercise"! I'm not coming down on you, I just want you to be healthy, you're still young, and it's not too late to make that difference to your health. If I can help you in any way please PM me. Good luck.
