More on PT-141 PLEASE!!!

Postby tobenormalagain » Mon Jan 03, 2022 10:20 am

I am a 55yo healthy man with longstanding ED that seems to have no identifiable etiology. Having tried most conventional treatment modalities, in desperation, I made an appointment this month with an implant doctor. The loss, cost, and pain that this extreme intervention represents almost makes me sick to my stomach, but I am beyond desperate for a crumb of a normal sexual life again with my wife. Broken Pistons suggested PT-141 to me and assuming it was just another marketing ploy akin to snake oil akin to Horny Goat Weed', I dismissed it. Later, in doing more research, I am very much liking what I am reading. The reviews are mixed but mostly positive and it all sounds too good to be true. Questions; 1) Your experience with PT-141? 2) Monthly cost for PT-141 (assuming one X/week use)? 3) Reputable suppliers? 4) How long do you think this becomes by Rx only and the price goes through the roof? 5) Could this be used long term (years)? 6) Is the 'tan' side effect permanent? How to avoid?

I never tried PT-141 and I'm afraid I can't help you with this. BUT I do know there is a similar product called Vyleesi for female sexual dysfunction. Vyleesi also contains bremelanotide (PT-141) and, at least in theory, it may be helpful for men too, ask your urologist about it.

Yes, I've researched Vyleesi some also. It appears that Vyleesi requires an Rx and is considerably more expensive than PT-141?

I’ve got the PT-141 nasal spray on the way. I’ll let the forum know how it works.
Diagnosed venous leak. Going with injections rather than implant for the time being.

There's at least one long thread on PT-141 here. Please read that one cover to cover. I know it's a pain to piece things together but there are at least a couple posts in there that answer everything. It's worth doing the homework and internalizing it, even if at the end of the day it's not that hard to get, make, understand or inject.

I'm a huge fan of it, and I think anybody contemplating an implant should try it first. (The choice to get an implant has many considerations so I can see how for some even if PT-141 works wonders they still might implant.) The vyleesi nasal approach might work but personally I believe it's a half-assed way to go (it may be more expensive too). The stuff's just not as effective as injecting, though I guess you just spray more into your nose to make it work. You can get hammered if you drink enough 3.2 beer, for example.
ED since mid '20, with slight Peyronies. Thus begins a search for the right solution(s); 56yo a/o Sep '21. Three months into my quest (12/21), I think PT-141, Cialis/tadalafil 20mg and L-Arginine (maybe other herbs) are a winning formula. For now.
