Thank you boutin3944.
I will call next week dr. Marois then to see and is really much easier for me in Montreal. Can I have more details of your experience with dr. Marois like:
- did he make you cycling and starting when?
- you got ,5” more than previous your surgery? The measuring was before to have ED or right before the surgery? To see if you recuperate your old size or you got extra ,5”?
- can we choose TITAN over AMS LGX?
- did he mesure pre-op with carvejet intracavernosal to maintain the size?

Thank you for your advice and experience

But I’m scared If I loose length. And lots of surgeons that are not so familiar to implants every day… they always under sized by what I read here in FT. :(

Hi my friend

I did start cycling 1 week after the surgery, using Caverject he took my lenght few weeks before the surgery, I asked for the LGX and did not offer me the TITAN , Dr.Brock teach him how to perform the surgery, and Dr. Brock as far I know do not use TITAN.

Hi Boutin, I'm another Canadian looking for an implant surgeon and if I could find a suitable surgeon within Canada I'd happily take them as it would be much cheaper than going to Eid or Hakky in the states as is my current plan. Glad to hear you were happy with your experience with Dr. Marois! I have a few questions if you wouldn't mind answering :)
Did Dr. Marois speak at all about the number of surgeries he does per year? If so, what was his estimate?
What was your length before surgery?
How long after contacting Dr Marois did you have to wait to get under the knife?
How long after the surgery were you able to resume intercourse?
Is there any chance you would be comfortable posting pictures of your inflated implant? As much as I hate to say it, I'm a young man so the aesthetic of my tool post surgery is a significant factor for me!

Feel free to answer as many or few of those as you'd like. Any input is very much appreciated!

I finally reach dr. Marois. And only on February 10th he can see me for first appointment. And Dr. Brock already gave me appointment for this Friday and surgery date for the 28th of January. WHICH implant should have choose between AMS LGX or TITAN? Reading here on FT most preferred TITAN. Dr. Brock do both with no problem he told me. That’s exactly what he send me:

“ I think you are better off with the AMS device. I had planned on an LGX device that has the advantage of allowing you to gain additional length and girth with expansion. The AMS coating is superior to Titan and the reliability of the device is better. Having said that, if you prefer a coloplast Titan, there is no problem for me to use that device. I would suggest we decide together when we see eachother prior to the case.”

What you thinks guys?

Thanks

To all our Canadian members in Ontario,

During my research prior getting my implant done I contacted Coloplast in Canada and they provided me with the following list of Doctors in Ontario who do penile implants, I hope you will find this information helpful:

100% of Device Cost Coverage:

Dr. Gerald Brock, St. Joseph’s Hospital, London, Ontario. Funded program, but wait times can be long

Dr. Walid Shahrour, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Funded program. He will place infrapubic approach.

Dr. Mike Greenspan, Hamilton General Hospital. Hamilton, Ontario. Funded program.

Partial Funding in GTA:

Dr. Yonah Krakowsky & Dr. Ethan Grober. Toronto, ON at Women’s College. Patients pay the difference between a malleable and inflatable. Highest number of cases in the GTA. He did my implant almost 3 years ago and my experience was very good.

Dr. Magdy Hassouna, Toronto, ON at Toronto Western. Patients pay the difference between a malleable and inflatable device.

Patient Pays Full Device Cost:

Dr. Victor Mak, Richmond Hill. Mackenzie Health. Patient pays the price of the device.

Dr. Giovanni DiConstanzo, Markham/Stouffville. Patient pays the price of the device.
Born 1967, diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2016, prostatectomy performed in 2018, current PSA 0.10, implanted with LGX 700 on Jul 2019.

Thank you Toronto67.

Can i ask you if is a reason that you got a AMS instead of the titan? As you called coloplast in Canada to get this list of surgeon?
Also how was your experience on the result? (Maintain length, recover de length or get bigger length)
And what surgeon you suggested on this list? If I’m paying all in cash.

Thank you again for your prompt response!

You've done some very nice research for Canadian members.
To help American members understand the implant situation in Canada. I think it would help to know the size of population that these seven surgeons serve?
68yo, HBP at 40, high triglycerides at 45. Phimosis at 57. Type 2 at 60. Dr. William Brant May 1, 2023 CX 21cm w/no rte's penoscrotal 6" girth @ 6 months

My experience have been positive, I may had lost a bit of length and girth but considering I suffered from ED for few years and waited one year after my prostate surgery to get the implant done I am happy with what I have length wise. In regards to girth, i would prefer to have a bit more but with the LGX it is what it is, maybe I would go with the Titan when my implant will need to be replaced , hopefully in a distance future.

I got the LGX following my doctors advise, as this implant will help you regain length and girth over time, which is true, my penis now looks much better when compared to it right after the surgery.
