Hey - similar age and am wondering what recovery was like for you as a younger person who went down the implant route? Did you find that it was quicker than the usual 4-6 weeks stated or was it mostly the same?

I’ve tried the pills and I can have sex standing up, but as soon as I lie down it’s game over. I haven’t tried injections because I just don’t think it’s feasible for me to live anchored to a fridge for years / my whole life, plus all the other standard reasons. I’m on the fence about the implant because I can still have sex naturally, even if it’s mediocre. On the other hand, I want to be able to perform and not have to worry about this ever again. The number of replacements that might be needed do concern me, and I’m sure the first surgery will be a serious psychological rollercoaster. My sex life has basically been on pause because of this, and time doesn’t stop for anybody. I will keep you updated.

Thanks man. Do you find yourself thinking about situation or feeling sad that your natural penile function is gone after the surgery? Are you dealing with any complications from that surgery now?

I'm currently not in a position to get an implant so I've been trying to keep myself busy with other things. I'm also thinking about trying stem cell therapy which is apparently a thing now - I don't have much to lose.
Age 27. Tried pills, injections, shockwave therapy, rings, healthy lifestyle, alternative meds.

@returntocenter do you have some closer information about this stem cell therapy? I have heard about it many times but haven't found any place where this would be performed, especially not related to venous leak.
23yo gay male. Suspected venous leak. Currently on Viagra / Cialis, both certainly help but not confident enough to be a top. Let's see what the future brings - I'm here to face it.

I find it interesting that my case is the opposite of yours, when I'm standing my penis falls apart in seconds but when I'm sitting that doesn't happen, maybe we have leaks in different parts and if so why the hell hasn't medicine invented a way less invasive to cover the fucking leaks????..... thoughts left by capitalism...

I never knew this was a thing until i started reading more posts on here. I’m in the same boat. I’ll be sitting playing with myself and get a great erection. I wonder if it’s hard enough for penetration, go to the bedroom to test it out and as soon as i stand, gone like the wind. Might have to get checked out for these leaks you all speak of. Not cool at all. I thought i was just getting old.

I think I was able to walk around after a week or two and I had sex for the first time post-implant right at the 4 week mark. The first sex was painful for sure but still so nice. I've had a good bit of sex since then and don't regret the implant decision at all.
Early 30s with ED for years from penis enlargement stretching and jelqing. Implant by Dr Eid on 24 June 2021 with a Titan 24cm with +1cm RTE on one side and -1cm cut off on the other side

No complications, just sex whenever I want now. Definitely not sad to lose anything, I think the biggest regret/inconvenience is having trouble wearing swimsuits since this titan implant is pretty much like a mini erection when deflated. It is definitely awkward to be wet in a bathing suit. Hoping it may soften up over time. Sex is great tho and I love the implant

It looks like the only two choices for me are long term injections which suck, or implant which I would prefer as it allows for a more normal spontaneous sex life, but an implant may be financially unfeasible for as they are not covered by public healthcare where I live.

Where are you living?

I'm living in a moderately wealthy European country, is all I'm willing to say for the time being, sorry! I'm pretty anxious to guard my privacy and don't want to reveal too much might share more in the future.

If it was just the cost of revision surgery every 10 to 15 years it wouldn't be a problem but I'm terrified of reading accounts of people who have had 3 - 4 implants in the span of just a few years. I'm really hoping they come up with more durable models in the near future, or maybe tissue engineering will become an option in 10 or more years.

This is why Im holding back and because satisfaction rate is not high enough with a 45 year old device. I hope they come out with something new like the PotencyFlow.
