Is jelqing a big cause of ED in young males that is being undervalued by urologists because it is still not commonly known to cause ED? I did this garbage back about 12 years around and the initial signs of ED started to present themselves 7 years ago at the age of 23.
Main issues that I have are:
- No spontaneous erections
- Rare weak morning wood
- Alot of constant stimulation needed to get somewhat erect
- Rarely get 100% erect
- Glans is soft, floppy
- Because glans does not get full, it is hard to retain the blood in the shaft and everything becomes flaccid if I lose concentration or stop stimulation for a few seconds
I have been to multiple urologist's that tell me I shouldn't consider an implant just yet because I am too young. My PSV were 31 and 33 on a doppler examination and EDV values were 0 and 4.37. According to this my penis is considered normal and no venous leakage is present.
Another urologist told me that I have Peyronie's disease at the tip but to take Cialis and viagra and he doesn't think I am the point that I should be thinking about a implant.
I am at the point where I want a implant because while I can get erect, somewhat, to masturbate and have sex it is just not satisfactory. I don't feel confident that I have satisfactory sex and satisfy my partner with a "hard enough for sex" but still very flimsy erection. That's just not acceptable as a 30 year old man.
I am ready for the implant but because I do not get the blessing from my urologists to go ahead a get the procedure it makes me hesitant. Is there something else that I can do before I take the plunge to the implant? MY PSA value was high (7.8) and I need to retest it, but I already eat clean, drink plenty of water, and do pelvic floor stretches.
Is jelqing the reason for this and is there no treatment other than the implant? I don't want to do injections.
Even though PSV above 30 is considered "normal", is this too low for a 30 year old male?
ED in young men and jelqing
Re: ED in young men and jelqing
I don’t know how common it is for young men to try jelqing. But I made the same mistake and suffer the same consequences.
Many others report the same problems after jelqing.
People on the internet have popularized the idea that this is caused by pelvic floor muscles, and this idea has taken such a strong hold that it will be mentioned whenever someone has ED (and “hard flaccid”) after jelqing and similar injuries. I’ve never seen any convincing argument for this claim and to me it makes no sense.
I’ve also been considering an implant on and off. It’s a very popular solution on franktalk. I find the limited longevity of implants disappointing and it means we’d be incurring the surgery-related risks quite a few times throughout our lives.

"EVERYTHING" I've ever read about jelging, the aftermath is NEVER good, you decide!
Retired 65 y.o. Married. Moderate ED since 2019. Use constriction band ocassionately to help maintain erection, or Cialis/Viagra. Nocturnal/morning erections returning with VED usage. Lower libido than before.

Decide what? If I could back in time I would never have done it. But I can't.

Re: ED in young men and jelqing
Why, I missed the 'garbage' comment before I wrote 'you decide'. So many men do this jelging and wish they hadn't later, I'm sorry you fall into that category. If you, or your partner, are not against using a VED, with a constriction band, then you should be able to have penetrativesex when you want. The only thing with using them is that it does takes away the spontanuity of sex. You can do all of the foreplay you want without a band on, but if you're not hard enough when the time comes to enter her, or as you say, the slightest distraction and you lose it, then you'll have to take the time to put it on.
Why, have you tried Cialis, Viagra, etc.? They may help you to maintain your erection throughout sex, without the use of a band. If you still have the 'distraction' issues, and find yourself starting to soften, after you've started making love with your partner, then while you're hard, right before you enter her slip the band on and then proceed. You want to make sure not to leave it on for longer than 30 minutes for safety reasons, but I personally wouldn't leave it on that long. I've read where most women complain about it feeling cold after a short time (from no circulation) and it being a turn off.
I have seen different posts on Frank Talk, promoting different creams and such, that may help with healing some damage done to you penis from injuries. Whether or not they might help you, who knows, just throwing that out there. I don't believe an implant should be your first option till you've tried the simpler, and less invasive ones first. You're very young for an implant, and they only last for so long before you have to have a revision. I do wish you success in whatever route you choose, but do your research and get informed first.

How did the urologist discover peyronies at the tip?
A peyronies diagnosis does explain the ED.
The important thing with ED is to treat it.
Does viagra/calls work okay?

45yo, venous leak. Pills increased tinnitus (very rare). Using bimix+atropine, 0.2 of:
Atropine Sulfate: 52MCG/ML, Phentolamine MES: 0.9MG/ML, Papaverine HCL: 26MG/ML

Through manual examination. He said he felt some scar tissue at the tip of the glans. My erection after strong stimulation looks similar to a chordee, the shaft gets somewhat hard as long as im extremely focused on the sensation and don't stop stimulating, but the glans doesn't fully inflate and droops down like floppy glans syndrome. It seems as if I can't retain the blood in the shaft and everywhere properly because the glans engorgement does not allow venoocclusion to occur. Once In a blue moon I get that tight engorgement feeling where everything is trapped and contained.
Viagra and Cialis is a hit and miss. If I abstain from masturbation and only have sex once or a couple times a week it tends to work better but I am young and have a healthy and normal libido. If I were to get into a relationship, my partner is going to want intercourse more than just a couple times a week to be satisfied.
Re: ED in young men and jelqing
Have they done a Doppler scan to find this? Peyronies can show up in a Doppler, they told me,
but I think they need to know what they are looking for.

A lot of people here are idiots or assholes who insult you/judge you/assume you're lying. Ignore a lot of it. Also, I'll join you going back in time to fix our ED.
Edit: well honestly, I feel bad for saying idiots/assholes/judging. Cause I am very much and idiot myself, lol. And I haven't read around too much. So, yeah, nevermind. I'm probably the biggest asshole here anyway.
Ignore me, carry on.

2435, why are you using the post I already apologized for. I misread it and thought he was thinking of jelging. I wasn't trying to be an idiot, or an asshole! I wouldn't wish ED on anyone, for any reason!
