New Titan Implant

Postby BradleyH » Fri Jan 21, 2022 7:59 am

Hi. I just received a Titan implant with Dr Eid. I had an advanced case of Peyronies that started two years ago, with 60 degree bend and “hinge”. Plus, lifelong struggles with ED. I decided on the implant, had it done one week ago. I’m still considerably uncomfortable with balls a shade of purple I’ve never seen. I’ve done inflations and I’m satisfied enough with the size and straightness, although I may have lost about 1.5" from my prime time. My biggest concern now is flexibility when deflated. It seems to be too firm and in the way. Maybe it’s just because it still hurts a lot. Any advice on deflated comfort down the line?

It's way too early for such concerns. It will get better - just give it some time.

What dg said, give it time to heal and the implant material will soften up and it gets a lot more comfortable.A couple of months at least!

Don't worry you'll heal, but it takes time. Think of what doc just did to your penis!
Once doc clears you for sex it's time to start daily inflations/deflations (cycling) for 30-60 minutes to help regain size. It might hurt at first but keep at it. Size wise I lost some after my Titan implant, but it gets hard!

Congratulations! The discomfort will pass, but it may take a while.

My implant stayed too stiff for me to wear my straight leg pants until almost four months after surgery.

Thanks very much for the responses. Like many others in this forum I have been through the WTF did I do stages in the first few days. After reading a lot of the info posted here (I just became active in this forum in the last few days after My recent surgery) I am feeling better again about my decision.

You'll regain more size over time, too, as long as you cycle regularly. I was 7" after surgery, 7.5" a couple months later, and back to my pre-op 8"x6" at six months.
Wichita, KS. Single, 57, 6', 245 lbs, ED pills since '00, Trimix since 02/17. Implant on Oct. 10, 2018 from Clay Mechlin, MD in Columbia, MO. Pre-op nearly 8" cut. Now have Titan 24 cm + 1 cm extender, post-op I have kept my size at nearly 8".

B H,
Prior to your implant, when you had an erection, blood would flow into the corpora cavernosa, and out when the erection subsided. Now you have two silicone like cylinders in the space that blood used to occupy. That said, If you were a "grower" before the implant, you're now a "shower".
The cylinders aren't going away and as such your penis is going to look different. This is something that I learned to deal with. Understand that if you wear tight fitting clothing, the penis is going to be more noticeable.
After my surgery, I was so bruised that I thought a blood vessel had exploded. The scrotum and penis were so swollen I called the doctor. Guess what? He said it was completely normal. After 7 weeks most of the purple turned to an ugly shade of brown. By 9-10 weeks everything was pretty much back to normal.
B.H., allow your body to heal. If you have questions, CALL YOU DOCTOR, I'm sure he/she has seen it all and can guide you through the rough times. You've got this.

p.s. For me there is no discomfort once deflated

Good to hear.
It's a very tender place of a man's body to have done to it what the surgeon did, but the end result will be worth it. Think most guys go through the WTF do I let them do to me after implant. Until they heal and figure out WTF that thing can do!
Good you found FT this early in your recovery. Wish I had found this site about 6 months before my implant, not 5 months after. Lots of good info here.
