I have an AMS 700 LGX. I have found it doing the same thing several times, but it was always a problem with the valve. I guess it sometimes gets trapped into an "in between" state. As you said, I could push the bulb flat, but it would not refill. My solution has been to very firmly press the deflate button, more than I normally would, to make sure it was fully moved into the inflate position. That has always solved the issue. Sometimes I had to try a couple of times, while pushing the bulb in between tries to help get the valve fully into the position where it would move correctly during the button push.

I hope it resolved for you.

I hope you can solve your issues!
May I ask you much have you used it and your age?

Merlin, I got my AMS instructional video CD out and reviewed the troubleshooting on the pump.

1. It said if the pump bulb is flatten out and won't refill - first try depressing the deflation button to refill the inflation bulb

2. If that doesn't work it says to reset the pump by pressing on either side of the block and also depressing the deflation button at the same time to reset the pump and to refill the bulb. Then try and pump the bulb if it has refilled

3. It also said that some of the tubes could be kinked, do pull out on your penis, then up and down and side to side several times to possibly unkink any tubing problem.

Good Luck,
Hope this works

I have an AMS CX that the surgeon says it has a "sticky" pump. When I have that situation as you are describing, I squeeze my penis aggressively while pushing the deflation button with the other hand. Then, squeeze the pump as hard as you can to totally deflate it. That usually resets the pump and the bulb fills up again. The next squeeze on the bulb almost always snaps into the inflate mode after doing that. If not, try it again. I have always been able to reset it that way. (It has been 6 years since my implant, and it seems less of a problem now than it was when the implant was new.) I hope this helps.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwp0YfSLxIU At 8:50 in that video starts the trouble shooting section. You can also contact your AMS rep or check with your doctor.

But try pushing the deflate button hard and holding it to see if the bulb fills.

Ok. You can follow the trouble shooting guide in the video above. Follow the order in the video and add squeezing the ends of the pump block (the rectangular block that has the deflate button) in toward the deflate button. If that does not resolve the problem there is a fix not on the video. It is a reset for the pump but it has restrictions. As yours has been working I think you can use it but if you want to contact your rep first that might be safer yet. This fix is not to be done early on and my rep had questions for me when I was having trouble at activation so there seems to be a bit of risk with it. All the information by AMS states not to squeeze the bulb of the pump and the deflate button at the same time. But the reset is js to do that. Push the deflate button in to fill the pump bulb. The either keep pushing th deflate button or readjust things so you can make a firm full squeeze of the bulb while holding the deflate button fully down. Again I did this with contact with an AMS rep and you may want to contact your AMS rep or doctor before doing this. It is always best to let your AMS rep know if you have problems that are not resolved with the trouble shooting guide in that video. This gives them a record of problems and will help them help all of us with improvements and ways to keep our devices working well for a long time. It also has the problem on file if replacement is needed for possible warranty.

Let us know what happens.
