Downplaying so much people posting issues isn't a great deal IMHO.

When getting an implant would be an easy peasy surgery FrankTalk would cease to exist.

While I think a forum tend to overstate problems (people post more when experiencing issues), I don't think this is just a place for unlucky outcomes. Long term satisfaction studies on ipp often are just cold calls or questionnaire sent by post or email. I don't see a particular reason why someone should avoid a forum while answering happily some paper scratches.

I disagree with strong!! I don't consider myself lazy by any means and totally resent the fact he put it that way!!!!! I went to a local surgeon who was the best in his field. Im very happy with the results! Dont talk shit about people you know nothing about , dr. Eid even said there's a lot of good surgeons they overlook going to his clinic! Theres men like me who are on medicare and dont have the luxury of affording to fly and stay at a hotel for days, so be careful how you run at the mouth!! It's statements like that is why some dont come back to FT cause they dont want to put up with the BS! I've got an ams cx and it looks good to me and work's great for my wife and I. It gave us back what we lost from yrs of ED. Ive got back even more in size than what i started with! Like strong, take that with a grain of salt, because he doesn't know what he's saying!! Enough said!!!!!!!

strongagain wrote:Almost 7 years with my implant I‘m extremely happy, so why should I daily visit FT and write something? In fact I only go to FT when I‘m bored. My implant became part of my body, I have one of the best dicks in the world.

People unhappy with their implant have done one serious mistake: they didn‘t go to the best surgeon but to a cheaper one and because they are lazy, they chose one as close to their home as possible. Well, I don‘t feel sad for those people, not in the least.

I‘m living in South Africa, however I travelled to Germany in order to have it done there because that surgeon is surely amongst the best.

Only get an implant if you have the money for one of the very very good surgeons, no matter how far away from you he is based.

Ah, strongagain. You seem to have stirred up a hornet's nest among men who found your post judgmental and unsympathetic to men who suffer ED but do not have the resources to properly (in your judgment) find treatment.

Is it your stand that a poor man is not deserving of good sex? Or that an man unlucky enough to have had some surgical mishap in his surgery is at fault for not seeing into the future?

Have you never had something go wrong in your life and been wrongly judged by others to have contributed to that outcome and thus had their sympathy withheld? If never, you have been lucky, in my opinion.

I'm not implanted and I can go out of pocket but I strongly agree with you. While there are strong evidence that high volume implanters have less infection risk and an expert in his/her field is better than a novice, I wouldn't consider a surgery that can be performed properly just by a bunch of doctors around the world's satisfactory. Or a valid option.

Imagine some saying "eye laser surgery is great but you should travel around the world and go to a world class optometrist if you want to be sure about the outcome". I'd keep my glasses.

I think the idea of an outcome so surgeon related makes ipp less attractive. In every developed country of the world every day are performed medical procedures like critical surgeries, transplants, etc. which are far more difficult than a penile implant. You may walk as a tourist in Paris, London, Venice, Barcelona and if a stroke happens there will be at least a good enough doctor for you and your heart. But no, your dick need an intercontinental flight otherwise you're fucked. That's scary.

I used a local surgeon no one has heard of around FT. In doing my due diligence, I met with him and another surgeon (who I found cold), talked to AMS rep, patient liaison and a patient. Before covid hit, he was doing 100 or so implants a year, reasonably high-volume IMHO. I was a very complicated case: huge Peyronie's plaque mass and a 60+ degree bend. He dealt well with it all. I came out of surgery the same size I went in, had a good recovery, and have gained some size. I am 100% satisfied and don't think there could have been a better outcome with a famous surgeon. This was a doctor in fly-over country, and I am incredibly happy, and fucking my brains out. Just my experience, and results.
20 years of severe Peyronie's plaque, 90 curve, hinging and ED. Cost me 1.5" L and 1" G.
Implanted 2/18/21, AMS CX, 18 CM + 3 RTE, penoscrotal. Have gained 3/4". Gay, married, age 68.

I would say, yes, there's hope.

There were definitely ups and downs the first several months after surgery. But now I'm very happy with my implant.

I didn't lose any size. I've had more sex in the past year than the previous half a dozen, at least. I woke up horny in the middle of the night last night, so I woke up my wife and fucked her. I would NEVER have done something like that before my implant.

My surgeon is a local doctor. He was the first urologist I saw to suggest an implant. And he went to bat for me when my insurance company resisted covering the operation. I definitely did some research on him and asked him lots of questions. A couple things that gave me additional confidence in him were that he has multiple published articles on implant issues, and he does five to nine implants, including revisions, per month. He also told me very few of the revisions were on implants he'd done, and those that were revisions of his work were because patients didn't follow directions during recovery.

Just like with my retirement plans, I'm going with the attitude that this is going to last a long time. It's so much better than what I had before the implant. As far as I'm concerned, I have years of good sex ahead of me before I have to deal with a revision.
