How close to a real Erection?

How close to the feeling of a natural hard-on (for those that have a good memory of that feeling) is the erection of an implant?

75%, 90%?

Many say they forget they even have an implant which is fantastic.

But if it does not feel entirely natural, what is the reason for that?

I don’t want to be constantly reminded that I have an artificial apparatus keeping me hard?

In essence, can one suspend belief and feel as though they have a natural, pulsating erection?

During sex mine feels just like it did years ago. I get great sensations and good orgasms. Shape wise it is a little flatter than my pre-ED erections, but it gets hard any time I want it to.

It is hard for me to remember.

But I think it's a close replica of my natural, pre-ED hard on.

This is especially true when I'm excited. Then, I have natural blood flow that makes my dick rounder and the head bigger.

Without question, however, is that it's incomparably better than what I had going on for years prior to my implant.

And, I would willing to bet that if I could get a hard on naturally at 53, it probably wouldn't be as hard and reliable as my implant.

I would echo Time2Change's experience, although I am only a week out from surgery. It's like a great new toy that is reliable and totally in my control vs having no control and lately crushing disappointment and feeling emasculated.

All are positives -- natural malperformance is now in the past -- feels great -- my new natural!

Been reading about implant erections without arousal and it seems they can be akin to what some have described as simply scaffolding for your dick.

ie, the resulting erection seems very artificial and the tubes quite palpable.

Correct? Or not really?

I'd say not really.

I'd say my erections are quite natural looking and feeling.
I also only have tubing far down on the underside of my penis.
I believe it's where it should be with a penal-scrotal installation.

I would like to offer another perspective, or angle, on this question.
If it is is a fact that every implanted man a couple of years down the road, really cannot anymore remember the exact feeling of their natural erection, if they really cannot say anymore whether the implant erection feels inferior or less pleasurable, then what does it matter if it feels different or not?
If the benchmark is something that can't even be remembered, if all we feel is that we are happy we can get hard, and we can enjoy the heck out of our inflated erections, then what does it matter how the gone-and-never-coming-back natural erection felt?

Secondly, so what if it would feel inferior? What if you did get a percentage of that inferiority, and the implant was 87% as good as the natural erection. Then what? What does that number even tell you?
What number would be the threshold for where you say "Fuck it, if the implant is X% inferior in feeling to the natural erectiton I had 10 years ago, I'll rather keep my impotent crap dick and suffer through failures for the rest of my life"?
That's not rational.
I think this site has proven beyond needed certainty that the quality of sex with well installed implant is absolutely good enough, that is is absolutely close enough to the real thing.

So it all falls back on you and your situation. Does your dick work? Do you have a sexual ability that is good enough to make you feel happy enough, to give you a life that you're overall happy enough with ?
Then fine, keep what you have an forget the implant no matter if the implant is 96% of the real feeling or if it is 72%.
But if your sex life sucks, if it risks your marriage/relationship, if it prevents you from meeting women/partners, if it sucks the energy out of you and fall deeper and deeper into a negative spiral which eventually could cost you your love life, your sex life, your career, your well-being - your life - then does it really matter if the implant feeling is 72% or 96%?
No. Even the 72% (whatever that means) will be 1000% better than the frustration of having a sexy woman sucking your dick t0 get you hard enough to fuck her, but in the end having to give up, leave you there with your limp dick, roll over and go to sleep.

But since I had the same question before my implant, I will answer it anyway.
No it doesn't of course feel exactly the same as a natural erection. But that very small difference is really the least of all the potential issues on a list of negatives with an implant.
I still claim that only a couple of years after my implant, I couldn't really tell any longer how big the difference is. Once you are pumped up and in the act, sex is great with an implant. Feeling is great and stamina is no limits.
So don't worry about that.
If you want to worry about downsides of an implant, then I'd list future revisions and the need to pump instead of getting hard natural as bigger issues than the authenticity of the erection feeling.

Erect my wife can tell a slight difference and she really like the fact that my girth has increased by more than 1 inch to over 5.5"

Fascinating topic and responses!! A little over 3 years post-op, I've gone over all the q's and 'what-ifs' that you've been relating including merrix's psychological tome that can be boiled down to a "you-got-it-now-enjoy-it" bottom line. I'm kind of in that camp...I can tell the difference in the physical before-and-after 'me' but if the only consideration is the 'can you use it now' question I'll have to say that yes, I can and do to the best of my ability and opportunity. The Titan cylinders definitely make me more oval than I was before and, with the mrs and other bi guys I've topped, that factor presents a more 'go slowly' approach to the insertion portion of sex. And, if the relative weight between the Titan and AMS cylinders is a consideration, my erection is more at 4:30 PM than the 2:30 PM it was pre-op. Or, as some of you engineering types like to delve into the scientific method of comparison, it might be the two RTEs on my install. A nice post-op constant is that my glans still become engorged when I'm aroused...so the filled with blood feeling still puts a nice 'cherry on top' effect. Anyway, since we're each an individual and no two procedures are identical, I'll leave the continuing discussion to others. Cheers.
