Fist appointment with Dr Eid: What to expect?

Hi,

This is my first post in this forum. I am 36 years old have been having ED issues for several years now. I consider my condition pretty severe, but urologists haven't been able to diagnose, and insisted that it's mostly psychogenic (as it usually happens with younger folks).

I have an appointment with Dr Eid on Wednesday, and I was hoping he would be able to diagnose my problem correctly before discussing additional steps. Since I am not responding well to medication, I guess injections or implant would be those.

For those that already had this experience. What should I expect from it?

Is he going to perform just a physical evaluation or is he going to perform any additional tests (injection, ultrasound, etc)? I'm also having pretty low T and I am taking this bloodwork with me.

Sounds like you are going to see him at his office -- not sure what all he will do with you for your first appointment since mine was telemed. He is, in my opinion, a prince of a guy who will put you at ease as he discusses your options.

Enjoy the experience -- you are meeting with a consummate pro who is, none the less, very personable. Let us know how it goes.

Good Luck. Lay out your issues, how long it's been happening, if you get any sort of erections, etc. Ask all the questions you want to know, and don't be shy because he's heard it all. He may do a doppler to check for venous leak if that hasn't been done before.

In that case, it is possible that he performs a doppler the same day without having to wait for another appointment?

I'm quite anxious at this point, and would prefer that to happen soon.

Are you local to NYC? I know when I went with Dr Eid, I had a phone appointment with him before traveling to NYC where I told him everything I had tried and that my erections were still insufficient. I was pretty dead set on getting an implant at this point. I considered the appointment just a formality. We had the second appointment in his office in NYC, the day before my scheduled surgery. He gave me the injection and did the dopplar, probably just to show that he did his due diligence as a doctor so he doesn't get sued for malpractice by implanting people without even attempting to diagnose them. I didn't really care what the results of the dopplar were to be honest. The next day I had my surgery, the rest is history!

That's right: I live in NYC not very far from Dr Eid's office.
I really haven't made a decision yet about the implant, so I was hoping he could perform some tests first to diagnose my problem correctly.

I'm new to all this, so I am terribly scared!

How do you feel on having an implant in your 30s? Did your life changed positively?

It's great to count with advice from people from different ages, and in your case it seems like it would be particularly useful.

Dude my life changed in a hugely positive way. Being able to have sex whenever is so freeing. I can finally focus on things other than my dick and ED. I've had sex with a few women since getting the implant in June last year and it has been great. Would never go back.

Hi again folks, I hope you're doing very well.

As I expressed in a previous post I am very concerned about the final size I would have after the implant. As mentioned, before ED I used to have around 5 - 5.5, and now I am closer to 4 - 4.5.

Do you think it would be reasonable during my visit tomorrow to Dr Eid to ask for an approximation around sizes?

I know it's too early, but if I end up below 4" that would be really dissapointing and want to know if there's anything that can be done to get closer to my original (Pre-ED) size.

When it comes to size estimates Eid is likely the best! Don't know if would be at your visit tomorrow, but in your pre-op workup he will do both a stretch test and an injected erection and then guarantee you what your minimum post op size will be.

As to regaining your pre-ED size, I am not medical but I would guess that will take some stretching/bending and maybe VED. It would take time but if you make a positive long term effort, I would think (stressing that I am just a guy like you medically speaking) you could regain some of that lost length.
