Pump broke- anyone know how warranty works?

Postby Pamen116 » Mon Mar 28, 2022 5:26 pm

I have a AMS CX - is their warranty that covers the IPP? So I can get it replaced? I know someone has had this happened before… I don’t have insurance so I’ll have to pay something. Any advice helps. Also is there any way to get insurance out of pocket monthly and get it taken care of or will I have to have the insurance for a certain amount of months?
30 yrs old. Current IPP failed in 2022. Waiting revision. No insurance. I’ve had both Titan & AMS.

I have not had warranty done but from what I have read is that the pump will need to be sent back to AMS and then a ruling on warranty will be made. In some cases if you return to original implanter they will wave the cost up front and deal with AMS.

Good luck with this.

Do you know what happens to your dick after it's sent away? The implant is removed and you're constant flaccid for a while? I'd imagine flaccid would be smaller too if there's no implant?
40. AMS 700 LGX, 21+3. Nov. 2, 2021. Idiot who abused alcohol for brain injury, abused viagra for implant.

Goal to prove implants increase dick size

Pre-op dick size: 8.75" x 5.7"

Current: 9-9.5" x 5.5"

Goal: 10+" x 6+"

I hope you fixed it soon. You have implant in 2020 and how the pump is broke?

That is only for cases of infection. And then only when a malleable is not implanted. In cases of broken parts you are charged for the replacement parts and they are replaced then when the broken part is ruled to be covered under warranty by the manufacture then a reimbursement is made. In this case as it is a broken pump and it is possible that just the pump can be replaced and a full replacement is not needed.

Insurance that has coverage for this is expensive to buy. A years worth of premium's and deductibles, co-pays, and items not covered would be about the same as out of pocket. And you many times would be limited on who you can go to and prior approval is required so there will be a long wait.

If you have current insurance you might see if they will cover the repair. They would not want to pay for the device but your 1st surgery doctor might be able to help and replace the pump under your insurance and then deal with AMS for reimbursement for the pump. That is if your original doctor is in network with your insurance. If not you can still try insurance you will just be limited to a doctor who your insurance says you can go to. This would be just to replace the broken pump.

Thanks newbie, I’ll have to take the out of pocket route right now since I don’t have insurance. See if I can get qualified for care credit

Have you notified AMS of the pump failure? They might be of some help with this. And they should know about it as soon as possible,

This is interesting. I never viewed implants as like some remote with warranties and replacement parts. Makes sense that parts can break or quit working, but doesn't it take a surgery to replace parts? I would think it would to cut into a dude's balls, but I have no idea.
