Hello,
I've not had surgery yet. At home watching television and such, I normally do not wear underwear. I like the freedom. After completely healed from surgery is this still possible or is there a constant "tug" feeling or lack of support or will underwear be necessary forever?
underwear after recovery
Re: underwear after recovery
I couldnt wear anything for a couple weeks that was constricting in any way as my doctor left me about 70 percent inflated for a month after surgery so I walked around in a robe with nothing on under it the whole time. 6 weeks out now, I still walk around the house in loose fitting shorts or nothing. At least in my case "support" while standing was painful. But when laying down, I did alot of the times put soft washcloth between it and my leg as the support felt better.
But to your real question, after healing and I am mostly healed, I dont find the need for support. I wear more loose things than I did before surgery.

I too was sent home "partially inflated" plus gauze (not comfortable, but not painful).
He instructed me to wear a jock with the penis facing up (about two straight weeks - even after the gauze was removed).
I used to wear boxers but have stumbled on these (though expensive, quite comfortable) that hold the jewels in position and still feel "free as can be."

I have also tried the sepratek boxer briefs. The penis area is open over the tip and has a small flap that keeps the glans from rubbing anything. Easy to pee out of. Only had them a week. Pretty good so far. Silky stretchy, made from bamboo. 3 pack was $30.00 from Amazon.

Re: underwear after recovery
I wore a jock strap 24 hours a day, dick pointed up, for about 4 weeks following surgery, 70% inflated for at least 2 weeks of that month. After a few weeks, no underwear or support was or is now needed. If I'm wearing clothes, I'm free balling and the implant doesn't present any comfort issue, but does create a bigger bulge, which I like. If forced into a suit and tie type function and a modicum of modesty is required, the Seperatec brand is my go-to underwear.

I wore nothing but sweatpants for a month. Underwear was uncomfortable. When I healed started using boxer briefs. I find they offer a bit of support but still loose enough to not bind the boys up. While I was healing satin boxers at night kept me from rubbing the sheets or bedding.

I don't think underwear is necessary once you've fully healed.
Maybe it depends on the material and fit of your pants. I'm kind of thinking as I write because I sleep naked. But I wear underwear under my pants.
I don't think you'll be any less comfortable than now. If you're used to denim/wool/khaki material rubbing your skin now, I don't think it will feel different.

That's kind of touchy issue. I use to sleep in the nude but since the implant find a light support keeps me from rolling on it. The new equipment takes up room (length)and it gets pinned without support. During the day if I'm working wearing something that will keep it up to the side makes a big difference. I've tried seperatec, use them on formal stuff but the rest of the time I have underwear that allows the third member to go down to one side of the jeans. The penis shaft/length won't let me put it straight down because of the additional items in the scrotum. Balance of the day no underwear necessary. I have almost always preferred no underwear but now it's a necessary part of life.

Yea, I too avoid the nude sleeping now too. That third testicle sometimes gets lodged in a funny position will wake me up quickly . The Separatec have been the best find for me. Super comfortable.

Re: underwear after recovery
I was just told that I need to get some Jock strap(in addition to the one what they will leave me with) to be worn for sometime to keep everything in its place and avoid further swelling and not to have baggy comfortable underwear. Is this true for the recovery stage? I have my surgery tomorrow.
