Loss of length after implant surgery.....

Postby Dandles » Wed Apr 03, 2013 9:25 pm

I had the AMS 700 MS penile prosthesis surgery in december. I was 7 inches with a girth that matched my length. My dr told me when I woke that the procedure took twice as long as it should have, because when he partially pumped it up while I was still under, it looked bent, so he said he went back in and replaced it. He told me before that I wouldnt lose more than 1-1 1/2 inches max and no girth. Well I am at the fifth month having it and although it works fine, I am pissed that I have only gained a half inch of my length back. Oh, and I am now 4 inches, thats right, I was 3 1/2 inches and major loss of girth! I am going to see another Urologist in ten days, but I am beyond upset. Any advice would be welcome.

Why do guys worry so much about length or thickness. What women want is a nice hard penis and a guy who uses it right, 4" is enough to satisfy any woman if the guy gives her a lot of foreplay, oral sex and does her a long time.

You are entitled to know ... so ask for the surgery report and the Implant specs (cylinder size and model) without that going to see another URO is pointless.

Go to the Hospital's Records Department and get a copy of the OR report, and the Surgeons Report.
I did and have posted them in my Journey. It gives times and names of everything and everyone that was in the room with you and what they did to you, plus what the surgeon did and how (including your measurements, length of cylinders and rear tip extenders).
Don't take it for 100%, anyone can "cook the books".
A little lose is one thing, you get your erection back.
But to lose that much, question it!
Best of luck,
Jere

To Karen (shipper's wife) - My wife is also a Karen, just FYI. I've enjoyed your perspective very much and I think I've read most of what you've had to say. I have to disagree with you on this one. My Karen has put on quite a bit of weight. If I only had 4 inches, I don't think I could get the job done. When she was young and skinny, it probably would have been ok. Other than that, I agree, way too much emphasis is on size and not firmness and skill. I kept her happy for 35 years with a "half assed" erection, but she will tell you she was always satisfied. She also reminds me that the women I was dating when I met her kept coming back for more, so I must have been doing something right!

If I was Dandles, I would be very unhappy also. Everything I've read and the discussions with my uroligist have me convinced that if you lose over an inch long term, that would be excessive. I went into surgery accepting the fact I would be 1/2" shorter. I jokingly told my uro before surgery, "Don't short change me on length, I don't have a lot to spare." I just told him (2 years post surgery) that I thought he did an excellent job. I lost NOTHING! It took a while, but I'm back to where I was a couple of years ago before the ed causes some shrinkage. With the tools they have and the ability to customize to within a cm, I would not be pleased if I was more than 1/2" shorter.

Dave:

Thanks for the comments. I just want to add one thing. There is more to satisfying a woman than with a penis. Like most women, I get more out of oral sex than I do from vaginal sex. As we get older, our vaginas are less sensitive while our clitoris, thank God, remains sensitive to touch both from fingers and oral.
My ex husband was very well endowed but I never enjoyed sex like I do now with my husband who is smaller.

Even if your wife is heavy, this should not stand in the way for you to satisfy her no matter what size penis you have. Be creative try new things. You be surprised what could happen.

Karen.

PS I bet the moderator isnt happy with me posting this much.

Dandles, sorry to hear that yur surgeion couldn't give a good result. For the others reading that won't always be the case. It took two surgeries to get the job done and the final one took 2.5 instead of 1.5, but things turned out great in the end. At 5 months post I have back all that I had prior to surgery and possibly a little more.

Before surgery my best bone pressed stretch lenth was 6.75 inches, with one time with a very painful stretch getting to 7.0 inches. Now my working length is right at 6.75 and when I am exercising the implant for maximum expansion I can get to 7, it is a little to uncomfortable to use at that length yet. What do I expect for just 5 months; All that I can get.

Sure I am satisfied, but if I can safely get more, why not? A man needs goals.

Karen your welcome to post as much as you like on my topic, I appreciate your input. On the size doesnt matter, that may be in some cases, but you cant tell me there is a man out there that would give up half his length with the understanding he would not have loss, size matters some to both the man and woman. Thank uou all for responding, I am at this minute waiting to see the new urologist. I do know that this happend because my previous dr cared only about the procedure, not me and he sure didnt care about my lil buddy :/
I will update when I know more

Dangles

Good luck with the new uro!! Again for the vast majority of women size isnt that important. In all my years, my best lovers have been average or small guys.
