Interesting to see such numbers. Many people here report highest costs with Dr. Eid (which is around 30k) and most are around 18k (Hakky, Ralf, etc.).
23yo gay male. Suspected venous leak. Currently on Viagra / Cialis, both certainly help but not confident enough to be a top. Let's see what the future brings - I'm here to face it.

Revision (failed after 2 years) - $105,000 - my copay was $3,100 - difficult surgery to correct issues caused by first surgeon.

This is crazy money wow even for the first implant.. Atleast good your co pay was little..

My cost numbers were all pre-insurance, with facility and ancillary costs included (Overnight stay, labs, follow up, anesthesia, and so on).

You don't understand American medical pricing. The doctor & hospital ask for a lot but negotiated discounts are in place. The lower cash prices reflect the negotiated discounts. In the end, the cash prices & the insurance negotiated prices are very similar. Some expensive cities have higher prices. Like New York City is expensive thus Eid's cash price is higher than most others.
He does mention that his revision was a difficult surgery. That difficulty costs more. Its all very simple.

Wiggles....my $90K (with insurance, of course), 3 surgeries, is dwarfed by your costs! That revision is one expensive 'toy'!
But then again, I made sure EVERYONE in OR was under my insurance. Learned this the hard way, no pun.

All parties involved were under my plan. My out of pocket of $3,100.00 was a steal for a very difficult revision due to heavy internal scarring.

I am in California as well so I am aware and know how it works. Yet $68k for first implant seems exorbitant to me. My doctor(Edward Karpman) charges only $18k cash or insurance. This is almost 4X that price. Anyways if you are happy nothing to complain.

At the end of all of the finacial tricks played. The final cost that insurance will pay Karpman is close to his cash price. Insurance companies are not in the habit of over paying.
