Pump Bulb not accessible

This is my first post. I’m 3 weeks out from my surgery (performed by Dr Yefi). I met with his PA last week for a cycle demo in the office. It seemed difficult but he assured me that I would “get the hang of it” once I tried. I went home and tried, but i pinched my scrotum so hard that it was sore of a couple of days. I tried again this morning but the bulb seems buried and far back.
The online vids, along with the posts in here made it seem easy, but I’m afraid I won’t be able to make this work.
Did any of you have this same type of experience?
I’m disappointed.

I was instructed by my Dr. To keep pulling it down so it would sit correctly. At 3 weeks that was a bit sore but eventually you’ll be one in nature with it and you’ll both be satisfied.

Are you steadying the pump bulb with one hand as you pump with the other?

I found that worked well for me early on. The bulb is really hard at first and difficult to squeeze. I have strong hands, and I still struggled at first because the pump tended to roll out from between my fingers, rather than depress.

Keeping it still with one hand while I squeezed with my other hand made inflating easier.

It’s fairly deep up in there. How can I pull it down? Tug on the scrodum?

My first (lying asshole) surgeon never mentioned pulling down on the pump. It eventually "migrated" to a spot where I could not access both buttons. I stayed about half inflated for a couple of months. After each revision, Dr. Perito emphasized pulling down on the pump. You don't have to pull much to start with. Pull the pump ball, not the scrotum. My pump and release buttons are quite easy to access.

It ALL gets easier as time passes, swelling abates and healing progresses.

just try to gently work it down. You dont really pull on your scrotum. you find the bulb/pump and try to work it down.

for me -- at 3 weeks -- I was not using it yet. My doc left me about 75% inflated for a month and told me not to mess with it until my first post op visit at 1 month. Although I was instructed to tug on it slightly daily to get it to "settle at the bottom. I was pretty sore even at 3 weeks. But I did get it moved down from where it was right after surgery -- which was really high.

When I first started cycling -- the bulb was rock hard and hard to squeeze. But it broke in over the next week or so.

But just keep at softly tugging or working it down -- I dont really know how to say it differently. kind of like kneading it downward. it took about a week of doing that for it to stay down there. I'm not fully at the bottom, but I'm 3/4 of the way down and its easy to get to and use.

Thanks for the advice and encouragement. How often (every hour, every day?) should I gently tug the bulb down?
