I’ve read about more malfunctions on this forum from the MS pump more than any other. I’ve been here for about 3 years.
Is my judgement clouded or?
Do we all agree that the AMS CX MS pump is the worst?

I have the CX with MS pump and have no issues or problems with it. Mine is even the same size as yours.

I expect responses would be more useful if the types of malfunctions were better defined.
Coloplast pumps, for instance, have a history of allowing autoinflation. AMS pumps have an incidence of difficulty deflating.
Most of the fixes for AMS failures I have heard of involve the user adapting his technique. Most adaptations were failry simple.

Re: Do we all agree that the AMS CX MS pump is the worst?
The last couple months most of the pump issues I've read about on the forums have been with the Coloplast Titan.
Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.
Re: Do we all agree that the AMS CX MS pump is the worst?
Just something to think about. The pump gets blamed for lots of things that might not be pump specific. Examples could be a failed tubing splice or insufficient saline in the reservoir. I strongly suspect that some "pump failures" amongst all brands might not truly be real pump failures.
Also, I forget the exact percentages. I understand that Boston Scientific is the leading implant maker in the world. Whatever pump failures that you see on FT needs to be factored by their presence in the market.
So as an example, a 50/50 failure rate between Coloplast & AMS pumps on the forum. Means that percent wise AMS has the fewest failures.

Hello All
Implanted 12/31/2021. AMS 21 + 3 RTE MS PUMP. 100 cc reservoir.
Pump was hard to activate at first, today absolutely no problems with inflation or deflation. Everything works fine.
Extremely happy. From what I have read on this forum seems like lots of problems come from lack of patience, after that, problems come from lack of knowledge. Sorry to have to say that, but. Other issues seem to come from abuse or rough usage. Maybe problems come from lack of communication from the Dr. I guess I have been fortunate.
Another thought, guys with no problems wont have anything to complain about, most of what you hear or read here only comes from those who seem to have some situation to make an issue out of.
Just saying. Guys dont shoot me for my thoughts.

Re: Do we all agree that the AMS CX MS pump is the worst?
I much preferred my titan pump over my current ams pump. So much smaller than this block of an ams pump.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.

No problem at all with mine, not with inflation or deflation. Maybe I’m lucky
