Advice on Injection and Scarring Please

Postby JackfromWA » Sat May 07, 2022 12:07 pm

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the information and encouragement on this board. I am 59 and in a somewhat new relationship and have used about 100 injections the last 12-months.

A few months ago I found a small lump in the shaft of my penis. My urologist said it was unusual and he did a camera/scope (cystoscopy) that determined that it isn't in the urethra and it isn't peyronie's but is likely scarring from injections. My erections are fine with injections, no curvature and my urination is good.

I haven't been putting pressure on my penis after the injections (I'm usually in a hurry to get going) but I'm starting to get worried about the scarring, as it seems I'm prone to it. Does applying pressure really sometimes help prevent scarring?

I accept that someday I may need an implant/pump, but I still sometimes get natural erections (though they are totally undependable and always have been) and the injections work well in that they are dependable.

If anyone who has more experience and has been down this road can share that with me, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
59-years old. Experienced ED since my 20s. Tried injections in the 90s and discontinued. Sildenafil (viagra) and other pills cause bad headaches. Currently using trimix 2 - 3 times per week. Good erections but scarring is starting.

I was told to "pump" the shaft 5-6 times after injecting to get some Trimix over to the other corpora, not just squeeze. There seems to be an internal connection between the corpora. Do you follow the instructions to inject alternate sides each time and different positions along your length? I use 31 gauge needles, which I think are the thinnest available, figuring those minimize scarring.
Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.

Some men get scaring and some don't, it probably depends on the man genetics. Some men inject Trimix for 30 years and are fine, and some get fibrosis right away. I did get a massive penis tissue damage after getting the injection at the office, it caused me an almost 4 hour painful erection that destroyed my life. That day of the injection I didn't use common sense, I just followed the instructions of the clinic stating that I should star taking Sudafed after 4 hour erection, I just followed the instructions like an idiot, if you get a painful erection take Sudafed right away, do not wait
I had a trauma 2 years ago, caused me narrowing, dent and shortening. PRP injections three months ago=worse narrowing, and worse ED. Now I only have two choices: impotent or implant. Born in 1975, in a relationship with girlfriend fir 4 years
