Kidney stones and implant.

Postby SW0110 » Sun May 08, 2022 9:08 pm

Just wondering if these are worse with an implant. Had bad back pain. Thought a sciatic nerve issue. Nope. A 3mm stone in each kidney. Waiting to pass the damn things.

Heard worse than childbirth. Hope implant does not make it worse.

I don't think so. I might be wrong but doesn't the stones leave the kidney to the bladder then exit thru the urethra?
Just thinking out loud here. Not seeing a connection to any erectile functions. But I've been told by at least 2 men that they thought that they were giving birth. That was basically a grain of sand. Best of luck to you.

I suppose that if the urethra is compressed by the implant, it could make passing the stones a little more difficult. But as I understand it, most of the pain of passing is associated with passing from the kidney to the bladder, not from the bladder out.

Keep your implant fully deflated while you wait for them to pass is my advice. And drink lots of water - distilled if you can get it economically. No scientific evidence for that last bit of advice, just figuring that the fewer dissolved minerals in the water, the better.
