Is it true that the majority of men without partners do not use their implants?
Re: Is it true that the majority of men without partners do not use their implants?
I am single. I am just 4 months post implant. I have had more sex in the past 5-6 weeks than in the previous 2 years before implant. I have a much younger partner who is testing the limits..best 20k I ever spent.
Age 54, venous leak and some scarring, tried daily/occasional Cialis for awhile then a few months various doses of tri/quad mix. Either helped and would produce 50-60%.erections, but never really full. Implanted 1/20/22 26cm” Titan- Dr. Hakky

Absolutely, what Elyrev said.
The doctor who told you that seems to have missed that men with ED are more likely to be without a consistent partner. (Though ED does not preculde a good man from partnering with a good woman.) An impotent man wanting a partner is likely to be benefitted by an implant if other less invasive treatments are ineffective.
Of course, an implant is not a good way to GET a partner worth having. Perhaps that is what the doctor was trying to get at?
He told me that he would NOT recommend an implant at this time despite pills not working for me due to the fact that "most men without a consistent partner do not EVER use their implant for intercourse".

I'm not a psychologist, but I think I'm pretty damn certain I can explain to you why you're looking at this entirely wrong way. It doesn't mean what you think it means.
The majority of men never using their implants is actually incredibly wrong. Every single implant gets used, all the freaking time. How? Masturbation ffs.
Do the majority of these men (or any of them?) have evidence about their implant stopping them being able to experience sex? They can't even jerk off? Oh, they have no evidence, you say?
Question for OP: Post-implant when you are able to get and maintain an erection, are you gonna fuck anyone with it? Yes? Well, there you go. It'll work.
/Problem solved, end thread.
How true do you believe this to be? Do implants have less of a positive impact than we're led to believe on this forum? Any young, single men who have been implanted able to weigh in on this?

Goal to prove implants increase dick size
Pre-op dick size: 8.75" x 5.7"
Current: 9-9.5" x 5.5"

Seems that surgeon was taking a rather old school view that you meet a woman then get an implant rather than visa versa.
But the unfortunate reality with women these days is they seem to want to "try before buy" moreso than men. Only 5% of women marry as virgin's.
So, I think you should tell your surgeon that you want an implant to allow you confidence in finding a partner.

45yo, venous leak. Pills increased tinnitus (very rare). Using bimix+atropine, 0.2 of:
Atropine Sulfate: 52MCG/ML, Phentolamine MES: 0.9MG/ML, Papaverine HCL: 26MG/ML

This is great to hear. Thanks HappyAgain!

I've been with 6 women since getting the implant less than a year ago, and surely more to come before I settle down and pick out a wife. Go for it dude, it has its downsides but it has been a revolution in my life.
Thanks wolfpacker. I checked out your journal thread and gotta say, your implant looks great. Definitely gives me hope for the future!

Hi all!
Wanted to give a hearty thanks to everyone who has replied to my thread. I've replied directly to a few comments and will try to get back to everyone who brought up questions for me, or had comments that require a response. It's late right now so it likely won't be tonight!
Just wanted to give a quick thanks to everyone who weighed in. Any bit of information or input we can get on this surgery is hugely helpful.

So this might be a bit of a sensational thread title, but I recently had a call with a top urologist in the US and he told me something that I, as a 30 year old single male, found pretty disturbing. He told me that he would NOT recommend an implant at this time despite pills not working for me due to the fact that "most men without a consistent partner do not EVER use their implant for intercourse".
I was surprised when he told me this, but being that I was simply referred to this urologist by a friend for a phone call to discuss potential treatments which he would not be benefitting from financially I have no reason to doubt him.
How true do you believe this to be? Do implants have less of a positive impact than we're led to believe on this forum? Any young, single men who have been implanted able to weigh in on this? It makes me hesitant to move forward with the surgery, despite having what might be the best implant surgeon in the world be my potential surgeon.
Any input on this would be much appreciated, thanks everyone.
I was reminded of what Kasper Gutman said to Sam Spade in "The Maltest Falcon".
Mathematically correct". But the point was that it was irrelevant to the division of the profits from finding the falcon.
If you don't have a partner, using ANYTHING for intercourse is a zero percent portion of activity. So, mathematically correct, but irrelevant.
Some men get a feeling of sexual power and presence merely from the fact of having a weighty protuberance emanating from their groin. That feeling is not to be discounted, even without a partner.
Men do not have to have a consistent partner to make adequate use of an implant. Inconsistent partners are quite adequate.
I would look to motives for this surgeon's discouraging statement. Perhaps it was a test to see if you are serious about the implant or an effort to elicite mor personal information about your needs.
I recall (but do not have the link, sorry) another thread early this year mentioning a female medico (not a full-fledged urological surgeon, thankfully) who flatly told her patient that he would be smaller in size after the implant and seemed to activly discourage him from pursuing the matter. I don't know if that thread would have any relevance to your question, but mention it because it did seem to be similar.
I don't think it was a test like you considered since he would not be the one performing the surgery. You could still be correct, who knows. I'll look for that thread, thanks for your input!
Re: Is it true that the majority of men without partners do not use their implants?
Data point. I'm implanted due to venuous leak. Early 30s. Been single most of my 20s and in asexual romantic relationsips (due to the problems caused by the ED). FWIW I'm 6 weeks into being implanted, my implant pump positioning is painful, dodgy, difficult to operate because it's jammed into the base of my shaft. Takes 10+ minutes to deflate. Can't do anything one handed. But I've had casual sex multiple times already. Received oral. Gave anal. Even when it's kinda obvious something is going on - easily felt pump, obvious incision scars.
OH, and also pre-implant I had not had any penetrative sex lasting for more than one minute for almost 7 years.

Flip_5, do women felt the tubing? Do they tell you that it feels weird? How is your feeling with the implant?
I had a trauma 2 years ago, caused me narrowing, dent and shortening. PRP injections three months ago=worse narrowing, and worse ED. Now I only have two choices: impotent or implant. Born in 1975, in a relationship with girlfriend fir 4 years
