4 week follow up

Postby kenny24017 » Mon Jun 06, 2022 5:01 pm

I had a 4 week follow up today with my Dr. He asked if I was ok with starting to inflate and deflate ? I said yes I only have a little tenderness and swelling left so I figured I was ready. My Dr. Originally said come back in 6 weeks but he thought I'd be ok to start sooner. He deflated what was left in my implant and then fully inflated it. It was tolerable but I'm sure as I start daily practice with it that will go away. He said I was ahead of schedule for my recovery and everything looked good. I followed his directions and still haven't taken a bath. I'm a shower guy anyway. I have an AMS 700cx 21cm. You have to squeeze the button pretty hard to get it to deflate but this was my first time doing so since implanted. Should get easier as it's cycled. I feel great and very happy I pushed to get my implant. I have slept with a knee cushion between my legs for my back issues for few years and found it's helpful when sleeping on your side after surgery. If anyone has questions or I can help send me a message, glad to help with any knowledge I have.

Glad to hear you're doing well. I am at 7 weeks tomorrow. I am still sore, especially on the right abdomen and groin area where the tube goes up to the reservoir. However, I can tell I am improving so I am trying to stay optimistic. Had sex for the first time 4 nights ago and that's helped my mood.

Glad you're doing well guys. I can remember those first few weeks, they were tough on me. Now the implant is a part of me, working well and wife is happy.

Thanks for the support. I over did it and helped somebody move a desk today at the office. Also had to dress up with a belt. Sore now. Dumb move. Still this is frustrating, I want to feel normal again. I'm 7 weeks today and counting.
