Yes sir, yes I do. In the highlands of Scotland, where it's cold, ticks are one of the few creatures that can transmit disease, and lyme disease is one of my greatest fears. I live amongst lots of forest where they reside (because scots do). Going about your day you will do well to avoid them.
I don't know how many I have picked off my body and pets these last few months. First time I've found one in the worst place though.

I know the signs to watch out for. Shitting myself for the morning.

Good luck with this, not trying to stray. I think most problems are with people who don't know about the symptoms. I wonder if they ever give an antibiotic as a precaution? I don't know much about Lyme. We used to pick ticks off dogs back in Baltimore and burn them with our lit cigarettes.

We don’t have the right kind of tick here to cause Lyme disease so your question inspired me to look it up.

A single 200 mg dose of Doxycycline is an effective prophylaxis but needs to be done within 72 hrs of tick removal.

Let’s arrange a swap. Send me your ticks, I’ll send you the rattlesnakes, copperheads, water moccasins, stinging scorpions, red wasps, black widows, reclusive brown spiders, and feral hogs. Best deal I can offer.

I had three implant surgeries without an infection, but then after the fourth I had an infection start about a month and a half after the surgery. In the matter of about a day my scrotum filled with fluid and became the size of a softball. I contacted the surgeon and was prescribed antibiotics. After taking the antibiotics for a couple weeks the swelling started going down but I still had a golf ball size of fluid and material I’m my scrotum. At the time I didn’t think it a big deal because I didn’t have any of the other typical infection symptoms. Then about 3 months later I started getting fluid draining from my scrotum and the incision for the reservoir became inflamed and red.
After contacting the Surgeon I had surgery were he took out one side of the implant and installed a malleable and removed the pump and reservoir. I ended up having another surgery a month later because I still had fluid draining. At this point I contacted another surgeon we’re they told me the problem was rhat the other side of the cylinder needed to be replaced. The dr told me that during an infection the only way to totally get rid of it was to remove everything. Since that procedure In may I have been infection free and waiting to be reimplanted in early October. One of the things my new surgeon told me is to not take a bath or go in a hot tub for the first two months because they are dirty and breed germs rhat can lead to infection.

If it helps any. I would be willing to throw some raccoons in to sweeten Txagq8's offer. Not indigenous to the intermountain west. But they made it here 20-30 years ago. They are a first class pest.

Thanks for all the detail! Another question: between May and October what did you have in there? Was the malleable left in on one side and the inflatable cylinder on the other side removed, leaving one side empty? Or were both sides removed so that there was nothing implanted during those months?

Tman, I had to read your input at least 3 times to make sure I read it right.
The Dr. took out only one rod, the pump, and the reservoir? That does not make sense.
When I had my infection, Dr. took out everything! Only because they did not know where the infection was and it spreading to other parts.
The Malleable went in, but only as a support system to what had been there, which was a 3-piece,...to keep the area open. Why would the Dr. take only one rod and everything else and leave one rod? He is already in there.
Did they explain the reasoning? I mean, what was the support system for the malleable AND the one rod of a 3-piece system? Just curious.

Did they figure out the reason for your infection?

Nope:(
Dr. said when he cut my balls open, pus spilled out. Of course, there is no video of it, but stuff happens.
But more to the point, would anyone want a possibly infected part left in you and go through surgery again because of an infection?

I hope you meant "cut your scrotum" and your testis weren't infected. How long was this after your implant surgery? I'm kinda surprised it can happen 3 months after surgery as one poster said.
