Yes, I meant my ballsac, lol.
I think it happened right at surgery. When I got home. Everything seemed to be really tight. I am pretty sure the Dr. sewed up everything good, but something just felt 'off'. I let things go thinking it was part of the healing process, but after a while, that gnawing feeling just kept coming back.
I went back to work, no problems, but when I went to use the bathroom, the feeling would be there. Eventually, my sac blew up to the size of grapefruit. I kid you not.
There was no pain, but never thought to take pictures, go figure. This happened during the weekend. When I went in Monday, of course he did not believe me. This was in the 1st part of September.
2nd surgery was in Dec. 3rd was in March.

Re: Infection questions
Does anyone know if the infection rate with implants is higher than a knee/hip replacement?

Re: Infection questions
Sorry I have not been on here in a while , yes my situation was all screwed up from what I believe was the surgeon trying to take short cuts. I will try to explain again what happened.
In October I had a lot of swelling in my scrotum and the dr put me on antibiotics
. It would now go away and then in January I had surgery we’re the dr took out one side of the implant and put in a malleable . He said he opened up the other side but did not see any infection. I continued to have the infection and actually had a visit with dr Karpman in norther California who told he he didn’t want to deal with me and said the original dr needs to remove the other implant. I went back to my dr then did another surgery to clean up the area in hopes to get rid of the infection but was stubborn and did not want to remove the other side.
At this point I was extremely frustrated and saw another dr at usc “dr Doyle and dr Boyd” they immediately rushed me into surgery and removed the remaining inflatable side of the impalant along with the malleable. I was without any implant for about 6 months to give my body time to heal. After that I had a new implant installed and am good to go with no sign of infection
