Re: Anyone disappointed with Ralph?
Does Dr David Ralph does his surgeries or he supervises? This is critical for me to know
I had a trauma 2 years ago, caused me narrowing, dent and shortening. PRP injections three months ago=worse narrowing, and worse ED. Now I only have two choices: impotent or implant. Born in 1975, in a relationship with girlfriend fir 4 years
Re: Anyone disappointed with Ralph?
He absolutely does them.
As I say, I’ve spoken to 3 personally who’ve had it done by him and they would not consent unless he was performing.
I think this idea he supervises comes from the fact he is the lead surgeon in this field and trains a lot of ‘juniors’ when people go through the National Health Service, the UK’s public health system.
But one can of course insist he operates from A to Z or pay privately and ensure he does it that way.
The answer is yes he supervises many but no, he still performs a very high volume himself.

37, mild to moderate ED since age 21, 3 Dopplers - 1 result VL & 3 later results 'no physical problem', dependent on cialis (efficacy now waning), overcame Lymophoma at age 26, ED causing immense/profound psychological distress. Considering implant.
Re: Anyone disappointed with Ralph?
He does not let students do the surgery . He has leading registrars from different hospitals work and learn from him.
The registrars probably do between 250 to 350 a yr.
He’s there if any problems come up .
If you have the money then you can guarantee that he does it privately .
I don’t know where you have read these reviews, because when I did my research , all I found out was he’s the main man in Europe.
As I said before you don’t become a leading professor in a center of excellence if your rubbish.
I am seeing him hopefully for my last review end of July , only got great things to say about him and his team. And the nhs, I had private room and nurses were top notch , had overnight stay.
£0 cost.
To me it’s simple , if your in USA go to Eid Perrito if in Europe Ralph.
You won’t go far wrong with those choices.

Re: Anyone disappointed with Ralph?
I saw him last week and I was impressed.
I didn’t go to him initially as I heard he was a little cold. I wish I went to him now first , I’m sure I wouldn’t be looking at a revision if I had.
Any future surgeries will be done by him. I actually found him relatively warm and easy to talk to and would have no hesitation in letting him
Operate on me. I think he does 200 a year looking at his website.
He has offered me two options due to my floppy glans / being undersized which I like, his waiting list for NHS is approx 9 months and privately less than 2 weeks

Jimmi85,
What's your story these days?
You were operated on by Mike Fraser, and some things didn't go so well.
If I remember, you were undersized?
What's the plan now then, what have they both said?
Just to declare my hand, I was operated on by Mike and had an excellent restult. I love the man and will be eternally grateful to him.
I do not doubt you though, I'm just being clear so that you understand my position.
I'm sorry things haven't worked out for you.

Hey Leroastbeef
I completely get that no matter how great the surgeon there will always be people who don’t get the same results as others.
I like/liked Mike , I thought he was very approachable and chose him for that reason along with recommendations from others.
Aside from my end result I am most disappointed in the communication from Mike post surgery and the one time I have had contact from him was me questioning the undersizing issue and he won’t take accountability and says the tips are not supposed to go near the glans…
Ralph agreed I was undersized, probably by about 4cm, and the tubing is too high so it is very easily felt.
I have an MRI in a few weeks which will determine exactly how bad it is, currently my glans dropp about 50 degrees to the left.
I have two options, either a full revision with a larger implant. With my diabetes this carries a risk of infection and whilst the implant is not great it is far better than pre surgery.
The other option is a glans ocopony?! I can’t actually remember to be honest but essentially the tips are stitched to the glans to stabilise them. There is minimal risk of infection but if I am undersized by 2cm or more I don’t think this will be an option but the MRI will give more of an indication. Ralph said if it was his work he would not be happy with it.
I have heard many a good word said about Mike and I’m not here to slander him, I am sure there are guys who have had similar results with Ralph or even Eid.

Re: Anyone disappointed with Ralph?
That’s the sign of an old-school surgeon, alright, being unable to accept culpability when they mess up. We all know that the tips are meant to be in the glans, hence the name ‘tips’ ffs.
He might have a good rep etc but based on what I saw and what you’ve described of your comms with him, I’ll stay well clear. This is good anecdotal evidence for others,
however.
I’m just so so sorry you got landed with that result. If you proceed with Ralph, I am all but sure you’ll come away with a solid result. I know you’re at higher risk of infection but with Ralph at the helm, you’re giving yourself the best chance.
Good luck, mate

Re: Anyone disappointed with Ralph?
I see, I understand.
I would go for the revision in full.
By tacking down the glans you will lose length as you noted.
I have heard of this approach before. I think it is a poor solution when a thorough solution is available.
Ralph is excellent, risk of infection with him will be very low.
I did a lot of research before, the man is shit hot. The best of the best.
He can also move the tubing back down, lower in the shaft.
It seems like a no brainer to me, but I understand that it's easy for me to say.
