I don't understand this penis shame. We're men, we have dicks and sometimes they show. So be it. I do understand there are situations, like with kids, you wouldn't want to let them see a swinging dick. A snug pair of boxer briefs or even a jock strap keeps things circumspect. Dicks come in a variety of sizes, shapes and flaccid protrude from our bodies at different angles. Men's locker rooms, swim trunks (even a speedo) nude resorts/beaches, wear your manhood proudly!

I agree there should be no shame with men's bodies. When I was growing up, I came from a strict family that didn't talk about men's bodies. My father didn't share much knowledge or information when I probably needed it most. At school I was harassed almost daily and at least once an unwanted sexual experience happened to me. While all this was going on in my life, my parents were likely occupied with other problems in their lives. Unfortunately I turned to porn to find answers to my questions and curiosities. I don't think pornos were appropriate for what I needed at the time. I needed confidence, affirmation and to know I was going to be okay.

I also see guys at the gym still acting like something is wrong with men's bodies or they should be hidden. Just the other day this younger guy comes in the sauna fully clothed with a sweatshirt on. I was the only person in there at the time, and he mumbled something about not wanting to see a bunch of old naked dudes. I didn't really hear him at first, so I think I had him repeat it. I had a towel, but it made me feel a bit odd sitting there with him fully clothed and then his little comment. I thought yep he probably thinks I should be wearing clothes like him. I didn't say anything and just let it go, but it showed me there is still a big issue of body shame and a level of disrespect toward others. I think men should be more affirming with each other and supportive. It's too bad and really unfortunate that so many younger men feel the need to hide.

Similarly I chatted with an older guy in the sauna, and he was totally the opposite of the young guy before. He was natural and not acting ashamed of his body or mine. He was not wearing his street clothes into the sauna. I enjoy moments like that and I only wish the younger guys didn't have to wait all their life to realize some of these things. Just my rant

I'm with that guy at the gym. I dont want to see old naked dudes. Or any naked dudes. There's something passive aggressive about strutting around a locker room with your dick wagging instead of just wrapping a towel around your waist. It feels like they're either showing off or gay cruising.

I will weigh in here. I have a Titan implant and wear a swim brief to swim laps. I do this almost every morning along with a lot of very serious lap swimmers. I admit that my flaccid penis is pretty noticeable, especially when the brief is wet. I was worried about this before I had the procedure because some on FT said speedos were out. I think that is ok to wear a Speedo given the early hour and because most swimmers are in some pretty skimpy swimwear. I would not wear a Speedo style swimsuit laying around the deck with kids in the afternoon or at the beach, but I’m comfortable showing all when swimming laps. Most of the other men are wearing speedos and everyone has a different size of bulge or type of brief. Some are unlined so I think seeing a clear outline of a guys equipment is normal in this situation. Low cut bikini suits are best with the implant because the are very tight. A sunga cut suit shows the length of the penis pointing off to the side. In my case that is a little over 5 inches. Let’s face it, this is no big deal when the women swimmers have thong or near thong one piece suits on for lap swimming!

In the locker room, I always cover up with a towel except when I get in the jacuzzi where nudity is required. I definitely get some looks. I make sure I cover up going in and coming out.

I’ve been a pretty active member of the local bike club and triathlon club for the past five years. I have a lot of money invested in bike shorts, more than this implant cost (which has been zero so far). Anyway, I’m almost afraid to try on my bike shorts at this point because I’m afraid my public riding events may be over! I am slowly getting used to the new architecture though. I just finished my first week back to work, wearing kakis in an office. It’s definitely been different having to be concerned about whether I look like I have an erection. Who knows, I may end up liking it; I am single and would like to find a wife!

Things will soften up and you’ll get used to the new you in 2-3 months and you can wear anything you want. As I’ve mentioned in other posts, I feel the majority of issues are just in our mind as we’re not used to being a full shower…. I’m getting so used to mine I rarely think about it whether in swim trunks or tight jeans…. Just the new normal.

My Titan sure made me a shower. In shorts and sweatpants it shows, in jeans it's pretty hidden unless you look closely.
I now refuse to wear swim trunks in public. Or around my kids & grandkids.

Christ so no pool or beach vacations for the rest of my life if I get an implant?

That's just me. My suit sticks to me like a second skin when it's wet. There are swimsuits that have internal spandex that would hide it pretty well I think.
Now if I was younger and single, I'd be hanging out at the beach all day in Speedos!

The point is the mindset of the individual who was always able to in the past, tuck it away where the general population wouldn't suspect them of being anything other than a "Ken" doll (nothing down there). Men who have always been largely endowed got over the concern with people seeing a bit of bulge in their pants, and may actually sport an obvious "trouser snake" going down one leg for some men. They are used to it.

For those who were growers and on a cold day they practically had to send out a search party to find their "boy" (I was one of them with the head just sitting there seemingly attached to my groin when it was cold), the sudden shock of having 4-5 inches (or more) of perpetual length and sometimes pointing a little more "out" than "down", is a bit of an adjustment for some who haven't experienced it before. If you just stop worrying about it and accept this as your new normal, you'll be fine. Who cares what others think - revel in your new bulge.

@Waynetho Well said. I am getting used to the new normal. Yes I swim in Speedos and i put my dick to the right or left. Too hard to tuck, still 6 weeks post surgery. Gang showers and yes my dick does stick out a bit rather than hinging down, but no one has said anything.

We all know our bodies and what our manhood looks like after 40 , 50 or 60 years, it is a change but I expect larger in our own eyes than others.
