I find the reference to about 50 surgeons worldwide that frequently do over 75 implants yearly very interesting. I paused to think about that for a few minutes.
I live in the USA. I see only a few names given for Canada. Not many names are given for Europe & Australia. My state only has a little over 3 million residents. As I remember, my search only came up with 3 names. The 2 better ones seem to be well aquainted with each other. Doing in the vicinity of 150 each per year. I'm very sure they draw in patients from some of the surrounding states. Btw, 1 has a few mentions on FT. I think the other is only mentioned once. But I did get a private message from a happy patient of his.
We often discuss doctors experience on here. Lots of times someone is mentioned that is doing 150 a year. A few are busier than that. Give a guy some vacation time. So maybe 48 weeks in a working year. So 3 or so a week seems like a good pace. My wife has had several surgeries. We've been told that her doctor operates on a certain day of the week. Perhaps only 1 day a week in surgery is normal.
In a long round about way. I'm saying that I'm thinking that 75 a year is about all the experience that you can expect a doctor to have. Careful chasing an unrealistic high volume doctor.when 75 a year is already pretty rare.
Sorry about the long post to get to a small point of view..
