Bionic Today

Postby mspokane » Fri Aug 19, 2022 8:57 am

About to walk across the street to the UW Men's Health Center for my AMS700. Will keep you posted about the experience.
Dr. Thomas Walsh is the surgeon/urologist doing the procedure.
69, ED started early 40s, pills, eventually Trimix but dosage was very high for short term results.
Pulled trigger on implant and decided to go to Seattle as the Doc does a lot more of these.

All went very well. Walked back across street to hotel.. Staff at UW were very nice people and made me very comfortable. Great experience so far and no pain yet. Sure some is coming but will be manageable. More on just what they used for length, etc to come later. Off to the bed for now.

Four days post implant and all seems like it is going ok. There has been some pretty intense aching at times so I find myself laying on the bed or sofa to try and relax things. Have used some Tylenol with codeine when it becomes necessary.. Very extensive bruising of course, but I knew that was going to be the case. We left Seattle the day after the surgery with me driving until we got out of Seattle proper and then letting the spouse take over driving duties. I left the catheter in until we got back home so I wouldn't have to use the rest areas with my wounded shaft pointed out ahead of me. Dr Walsh left me fairly inflated and the feel of the shaft is good. Don't have to worry about the Trimix not lasting long enough anymore and won't have the expense of the Trimix either! I can't say enough about the care at the University of Washington Men's Health center. From check in to discharge was smooth as you could ask for. Anyone I interacted with was totally supportive. 11/10 score for them.
