I'm 32 and got my implant with Dr Eid a year ago when I was 31. It has been amazing and life changing for me. My journal link is in my signature in case you're interested in my journey etc
Early 30s with ED for years from penis enlargement stretching and jelqing. Implant by Dr Eid on 24 June 2021 with a Titan 24cm with +1cm RTE on one side and -1cm cut off on the other side

I can go into more detail if you want to private message me but I believe I only paid about 4000 out-of-pocket. And that was an outpatient procedure. I think my total bill was $95,000 so not a terrible deal there huh?
Okay I personal messaged you
Hey MN!
I went to Rochester Mayo as well. Had a different female doctor and as far as I can tell it went good. I love it so far I guess. I would say to try Injections for a year. They sound scary and nasty but really it's a super thin needle and after you do it a couple times it actually gets pretty easy and doesn't suck as bad as it seems. It sounds like terrible to think about but in reality it's not bad and i shot some amazing porn with my gf with injections. Should give you a rock hard boner for 1 hour. I of course also mixed viagra which you are not supposed to do but that let me go a little longer or two Rounds.
However, I would have opted to go straight yo the implant if I had known more about it. It took Mayo to push me to that option and just do it versus ruining potential life changing relationships and further mental trauma and anxiety. So do you. Go get the implant. Mayo is top notch of course.

Mr. Minnesota, I wish you the best. My implant was the best decision that took a couple years to get to. I'm now into my 9th year and needing a replacement. I also had blue shield, and as I recall, they did not want to cover...at first. I later explained my journey (see signature) and that I still wished to have more children and my ED was not allowing successful intercourse. It took a while, and as I recall, my first insurance case worker was not very responsive and declined my application for coverage. After several attempts, while still trying many treatments, they finally agreed to cover most of the cost. It was a great savings. Regardless of the price, it is a huge saving of my marriage. I think, the implant should be a last resort. For those who have "tried it all" the implant can bring back your freedom. I'm sure you've read by now the risks involved. There are risks with all surgery. I am also concerned of the risks with my replacement. I wish you, and all men well, on your journey.

PM me. Happy to jump on a Zoom and share my experience.
As a patient advocate for AMS - I have become a proselyter for implants and wish I'd have been more adamant about this treatment 20 years ago. Alas, to drill down, my bionic boner was $300 out of pocket (outpatient surgery center co-pay).
BSCI and most urology clinics SHOULD know how to help navigate the very murky certification/insurance waters.
HMU if you'd like to chat.

I'm not sure if you're ready for an implant quite yet. The first thing is go see a good men's urologist, have them run some tests to see if it's physical. They will probably inject you to see the response.
I was much older but took Viagra for a couple years until it failed and caused bad side effects. Went on to injections for a couple more years until those failed. I really wish I'd have known about implants before taking all those drugs but assume insurance wouldn't have paid if I hadn't. The hassle with pills and injections is it made sex planned. Always had to guess if it's take a pill night or not. Or we'd get warmed up in bed but it would be run to go inject. Now it's anytime, anywhere and I can be pumped up in 30 seconds.
The good part about getting an implant at a young age is the advancements to come. If all goes well an implant should last 10-12 years or more. If and when you need a revision, there should be better implants on the market.

At 27 it means booking from 5 to 10 surgery. Every year you could postpone taking PDE5, ormonal treatments, shots eventually is gained.

Great points!! I get the entire thought of trying everything else, but when your relationships have already ended and aren’t in a marriage it’s pretty tough to
Just go inject yourself and then spontaneously go and have sex.. nothing sounds more effective and spontaneous “long term” than the implant, which is what I am hoping to have, regardless if I need 5 of them done in my lifetime
Now 29. 27y/o when implanted. For 9 yrs was told it was PerfAnxiety. Tried almost everything imaginable. Diagnosis: Low penis inflow via Doppler. 9/20/22 Dr. Kohler RochesterMayo. Titan 22cm no RTE 125cc. Pre Implant length:6 Girth:idk. Post: L:6 G:4.6

As a single guy I'm sure sex isn't planned, it just happens sometimes. I see your point of having the implant, but you aren't going to hide it from a partner unless you're really sneaky. On the other side pills make you wait 30-60 minutes, and it's hard to carry a vial and needle wherever you go. Insurances may require trials with options just so you know.
If I was in your shoes, had the means to afford it and had ED that prevented me from having sex, an implant would be my choice 100%. At least now that I know what I know about them vs pills and injections.

Quick thought on the insurance question. Have your preferred implant doc do a predetermination of benefits. The insurance company will decide if they agree that the treatment is right for your health needs. Predeterminations are done before you get care, so you will know early if it is covered by your plan.
I am in the process right now. I want to be sure my insurance will cover the surgery prior to going under the knife. I think you should probably do the same if you are concerned.

Happily Married. Tennessee. ED issues for 10+years. Low testosterone. Cialis/Levitra rarely work now. Exploring other options.

Try different kind of pills eventually with different partners and check everything, state of mind included.
I guess you wouldn't like to have 7 knees replacements in your life starting at 27 without trying everything needed to gain some time. The same holds true for 7 penis replacements, imho.
