I can't seem to get this thing to fully deflate!

I'm 3 weeks out with an AMS 700, and just started cycling yesterday, due to lots of swelling and a really tight scrotum. Dr Knoll left it partially inflated after the procedure. I can pump it up a bit, and hit the button to deflate, but it only seems to deflate down to about where it was originally. Though it's small, only about 2/3rds my pre-implant size, the cylinders seem tight and are very firm to the touch, and it's sticking straight out at 90 degrees like a baby boner. I've tried holding the button 30 sec and squeezing the hell out of my dick, but it stays tight. Pretty uncomfortable in my clothes. Is this normal, or should I be able to deflate this till it is softer and less erect?

I’ve got the LGX instead of the CX but what you describe is not normal. It definitely wasn’t normal even at 2 or 3 weeks as I was learning how to master operating this thing.

When you mash the button and squeeze, are you feeling a buzz or getting any physical sensation that fluid is moving from cylinders to reservoir? I feel it buzzing.

That being said, whether it’s working correctly or not I have to hold the button in all the time I’m deflating. To get a reasonably soft and pliable flaccid I find I have to squeeze my dick to help empty the cylinders. I know I’m good when the pump deflate button is pressed, I’m squeezing dick, and there’s no more buzz.

I would definitely contact the doctor Monday. On another thread, I mentioned that early on my big fear was being able to inflate but not deflate. Now, at 2-3 weeks you could have some swelling preventing you from hanging down like a regular flaccid. And yeah it takes some time before cylinders lose some of their initial rigidity unpumped. But you ought to be able to deflate to something less than horizontal.

Yes, I can feel the sensation of the valve opening, and it deflates to it's previous level, but the cylinders are still very firm. Your suggestion about the reserve tank capacity being restricted by scar tissue sounds plausible...

A couple of things come to me about this. First as mentioned is that the reservoir was place with partial inflation and scar tissue and bio film has formed around it. This happens to all the parts of the implant. As with cycling of the cylinders this can be stretched over time. Another is the pump operation. I had some auto inflation with mine. This I think was due to the pump lock out function needing a bit of time to wear in and that added pressure from the reservoir. It seems to improve over time with the stretching of the tissue around the reservoir and the pump wearing in. And the cylinders will also soften over time. Even though the LGX has the softest cylinders I had some discomfort with dog ears early on and actually found it more comfortable with some fluid in the cylinders. Or not fully deflated. Give it some more time and see if things improve. Not really a day to day comparison but more of a week to week or month to month. And keep up the cycling work that your doctor has instructed. Standing or setting will give a bit of help inflating your cylinders as the reservoir is above the cylinders. Sitting may even put some pressure on the reservoir. Most of the time I cycle in bed laying down when things are more neutral. Or even where the cylinders are above the reservoir. The fluid still has to travel down into the pump though and back up so I would think the only slightly significant difference would be pressure on the reservoir setting.

I noticed my implant didn't really deflate all that much when is sqeezed it. I read somewhere that someone squeezed & pust in to wards abdomen. I seems to work much better.

Implanted by Dean Knoll on 7/27 and when Fully deflated still feel it is kind of partially erect but I think in my case it’s that the cylinders are still very rigid and there is still slight swelling. When deflated I have no problem bending in any direction and while deflating I squeeze until I don’t feel and more fluid circulating out. I was cleared to start cycling on 8/16 by his son Paul and have been soaking and cycling ever since with no issues so far.
