My name is Keon and I'm in Kansas and I am thinking about the implant. I had open heart surgery in Feb of this year, and I didn't have an issue getting an erection at all. I popped wood while in the hospital 3 days after surgery. I had a brief episode of Priapism in April that lasted for 35/40 minutes. Took a cold shower and applied ice like the articles all said, no problem. Then it happened again in July. This time it didn't go away no matter what I did. I finally got it fixed at the hospital, but it was like 8 hours later. I haven't been able to get and maintain an erection since, and when I do get one it's semi hard and can't do any damage. Saw my urologist and he placed me on a daily dosage of Cialis (5mg) because they don't know what caused the Priapism. I'm hoping that the Cialis works but even with it I haven't been able to achieve a solid erection.

Sickle Cell is the only health condition I'm aware of that comes with a priapism risk. I'm betting it was one of the heart drugs.

No Sickle cell. I had Aortic Valve replacement surgery. I had a Bicuspid Valve that decided that it was time to go bad. I'm taking Entresto and Warfarin as a blood thinner. The doctors want my blood INR between 2.0 and 2.5. It took me forever to get at the hospital because the emergency room was packed to the point that I left the one by my house and heading to another hospital in Missouri where the emergency room was empty to get it taken care of. Plus I didn't know what the problem was until I got to the emergency room. When I got home I went down the rabbit hole and looked up everything I could about Priapism and it's causes

Blood thinners can affect your erection. Sounds like some testing needs to be done by a men's sexual urologist.
